Job DescriptionStep into a day on Colliers’ service team You start your morning reviewing service tickets on your mobile app and mapping your route across your local market. By mid-morning, you’re onsite at a Chick-fil-A restaurant diagnosing a refrigeration issue, coordinating with the manufacturer for parts verification, and consulting with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team. Afternoon brings a hot-side equipment repair—think Henny Penny, Garland Grill, Hobart mixers—followed by accurate documentation, inventorying your truck stock, and a proactive check of HVAC performance before you wrap. This role offers independence in the field with the backing of Colliers’ best-in-class service network. It’s a unique opportunity to support Chick-fil-A restaurants exclusively, with strong technical and operational resources, training, and a culture that prizes ownership and doing what’s right. What you’ll work on • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment, • Service commercial cooking equipment, sealed-system refrigeration, specialty foodservice equipment, and base building HVAC, • Meet response times and SLAs for Operator service requests, • Work on brands including (but not limited to): Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, Garland Grill, • Communicate with manufacturers for diagnostic support and parts identification, • Consult with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite, • Install ordered parts accurately and professionally, • Capture complete, timely documentation (work orders, time, receipts) and manage truck stock inventory, • Keep your service vehicle, tools, and parts organized, • Support on-call emergency response during non-standard hours, • Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures, • Pursue ongoing OEM training and certifications, • Engage with equipment partners, suppliers, and vendors within the network, • Maintain productivity levels aligned with company standardsWhat you bring, • Technical trade school training and/or relevant hands-on experience, • 5+ years in a related trade or equivalent, • Background in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment and/or mechanical power transmission, • Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems, • EPA Universal Certification, • Valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, and safe driving record (MVR required); ability to safely operate company vehicles, • Strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic ability, and schematic/diagram reading, • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service applications, • Clear written and verbal communication; self-starter who excels independently; positive, service-oriented approachTravel and schedule, • 100% travel within a defined local market, • Limited overnight travel, primarily for onboarding and trainingPhysical demands, • Work extended periods during emergency or priority situations (including overtime), • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, • Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (with ladder safety training); roof access ladders provided; van loading/unloading of a large ladder is non-typical, • Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, • Extended standing and walking on even and uneven surfaces, • Frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands to operate tools and machinery, • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsTools, tech, and proficiency, • Machines & technologies you'll use: Refrigeration/Cooling Systems Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
