Job Description SUBSTITUTE POSTIONS ARE ON CALL AS NEEDED. MAY NOT WORK EVERY DAY Reports To: Assigned School's Food Service Manager Position Purpose: To effectively maintain overall operations of the Food Service Program while the permanent employee is absent. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED is desirable, • Basic math skills, • Ability to read and write the English language, • Demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics, • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds, • Ability to stand up to 6 hours, • Knowledge of portions sizes, • Ability to work well with others Duties and Responsibilities: To serve food to a cafeteria line, prepare food in a kitchen, and perform cleaning activities. May assist in the effective overall operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at different kitchen locations as needed. • Preparation of food items, • Prepare food carts, • Set food in steam tables, • Serve food, • Clean & sanitize all food service areas and equipment • Take and document temperatures, • Unload and put away stock, • Wash dishes as needed, • Other duties as assigned Position Type: Part-Time Salary:$12 Per Hour
