We are looking for a hard-working Janitorial Technician to join our field team. In this role, your main tasks involve cleaning floors, washing walls, disposing of garbage, performing routine maintenance, and inspecting the premises. You should have some janitorial experience or be familiar with the safe use of sanitation products and equipment. Scrubcan Inc. set out to tackle the growing health and environmental hazards posed by dirty residential trash containers and designed a state-of-the-art cleaning system using recycled water to clean and sanitize the containers while reclaiming the dirty water. After a successful launch of Scrubcans residential product offering, the company focused on commercial cleaning opportunities. Our focus has shifted to building and scaling a vertically integrated commercial cleaning company to address the varied needs of our clients. In addition to its residential services, Scrubcan Inc provides janitorial, fleet, solar panel, commercial pressure washing, and disinfecting services every day throughout the Central Valley. Responsibilities: Utilize the clients customized commercial cleaning checklist to perform all assigned tasks in accordance with Scrubcan Inc. standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Perform routine commercial cleaning tasks including dusting furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, and fixtures, • Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and kitchenettes, including sinks, countertops, floors, toilets, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, and microwaves, • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or hand-scrub floors using appropriate tools and equipment, • Replenish consumable supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and kitchens, • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas, • Wipe down walls, doors, baseboards, woodwork, and wall hangings as required, • Complete all assigned work within established timeframes while maintaining quality standards, • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses when required, • Follow assigned job schedules and complete all tasks within allotted service windows, • Perform additional cleaning duties as outlined in the service schedule or requested by management, • Safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, including carrying items up and down a full flight of stairs, and perform physical tasks associated with general cleaning, • Maintain flexibility to provide relief or floating coverage across multiple sites or nearby buildings as needed, • Identify and report safety, maintenance, or facility issues by documenting them in the customer checklist and communicating them to the appropriate team lead or manager, • Arrive at client locations on time, complete services to established standards, and ensure facilities are properly locked and secured upon departure, • Accurately clock in and out at the correct locations and scheduled times, • Adhere to required rest and meal breaks in accordance with company policy and labor regulations, • Handle special customer requests professionally and document completion on company paperwork and customer checklists, • Immediately report incidents, concerns, or issues requiring attention to a team lead or manager, • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and incident-reporting requirements, • Participate in training and actively seek to improve knowledge and performance in assigned duties Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required, • Previous janitorial, hospitality, or customer-facing experience preferred, • Valid California drivers license and reliable transportation required, • Reliable, dependable, trustworthy, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic, • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background check, fingerprint-based background check, physical examination, drug testing, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check., • Authorized to work in the United States, • Ability to travel to and from customer locations as required, • Physically able to perform job duties, including prolonged standing and walking; climbing, bending, kneeling; pushing and pulling equipment; lifting and carrying objects (including a 20 lb vacuum); repetitive bending, lifting, and arm movements, • Willingness to wear company-issued uniforms during all working hours, • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and communicate effectively with team members, customers, and office staff, • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency, • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment, including responding positively to operational changes and customer needs, • Resourceful, results-driven, and solutions-oriented approach to work, • Collaborative and coachable mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, • Detail-oriented with strong attention to quality and customer-specific requirements, • Professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with customers on-site, • Self-motivated and able to identify and complete tasks independently without constant supervision, • Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and assume additional responsibilities as needed, • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and common sense Benefits: • Opportunity to be retained as a permanent full-time employee, • Professional growth and development opportunities, • Comprehensive Health, Life & Disability Insurance (applicable to full-time employees), • Monthly Cell Phone Allowance, • Performance & Incentive Programs, • Accrual of Paid Sick Time Scrubcan is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals and will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process.
