Our client is a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm seeking to expand our professional staff by adding a Legal Assistant / Paralegal with 3–5 years of experience in an administrative and litigation support capacity. This role will support our Mental Health and Hygiene practice group and is based in Lake Success, NY Key Responsibilities • Draft litigation documents, including motions, orders, and post-judgment papers, • Draft correspondence and court-related documents in accordance with judicial procedures, • Prepare, organize, and maintain files in both paper and electronic formats, • Maintain detailed Outlook calendars, including scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings, • Knowledge of guardianship pleadings and proceedings is helpful, • Manage administrative duties including arranging conference calls and meetings, copying, scanning, printing, and file maintenance, • Create, edit, format, and proofread letters, memoranda, and other documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, • Request conflict checks, open new client matters, and submit electronic approvals as needed, • Liaise directly with clients and third parties throughout all phases of litigation and/or case resolution, • Answer phone calls and take accurate messages for multiple attorneys while managing calendars, • Experience drafting legal documents throughout all phases of litigation, including discovery requests, RJIs, motions, stipulations, subpoenas, notices, and post-judgment papers, • Experience formatting briefs and preparing exhibit books, • OCR document experience, • Experience filing court documents, including e-filing in both state and federal courts (NYSCEF and ECF), • Experience tracking court dates and deadlines, • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strong organizational skills, • Eagerness to learn and take initiative, • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook), Adobe, Westlaw, Litify, or similar systems, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished presentation Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $55,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience We offer a competitive benefits package, including: • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Holidays, • 401(k), • Medical and Life Insurance, • Employee Referral Program, • Mentoring and professional development opportunities
