Job Description: The Communication Specialist will easily grasp policies, procedures, and governance, and capable of aligning strategic plans throughout the leadership structure. Provide professional communications support to advance organizational objectives, and strengthen internal and external stakeholder engagement on behalf of the government. Write, edit, and prepare internal and external communications, including town halls, table talks, portfolio reviews, industry articles, press releases, speeches, scripts, blog posts, and webcasts. Assist the PMO with photographic and videography products and events. Assist with the assignment of and/or graphic design and final proofs for print pages, web pages, and navigation. Design long-term human capital strategies that bridge the gap between academic curriculum and federal 'future-force' technical requirements. Come up with new and innovative communication activities. Develop communication pipelines that support government upskilling requirements, including training, mentoring, certifications, and degree-related courses. Assist the PMO by delivering briefings and leading virtual meetings (Teams/Zoom). Experienced in tracking action items, as well as developing meeting minutes and reports. Plans, writes, edits, and disseminates information on behalf of the government to promote goodwill and improve relationships internally and with external parties. Exceptional ability to build and maintain high-trust relationships with diverse stakeholders, ranging from university deans to senior military officials, ensuring seamless collaboration across organizational boundaries. Requirements: Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a directly related field (e.g., Business Administration, Communication, etc.) Five (5) years of relevant experience drafting communications for senior-level DoD/US Government officials. 10 to 15 years of experience at the federal government senior leader level (OSW/DoW) and/or agency level (PEO/CIO/Directorate) Proficiency in utilizing social media and standard applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PDF management, and graphic design tools. Experience developing, updating SharePoint site content, including articles, images, graphics, and videos Experience with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and familiarity of DLA structure, culture, and J Codes/MSCs strongly preferred Experienced in technical writing, editing, and the creation of newsletters, flyers, and other marketing materials. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of leadership within diverse, complex government and university environments. Experience developing strategic/executive-level plans, roadmaps, charts, briefings, and speaking points. Experience working with Public Affairs Offices (PAO) to develop strategic communications, videos, and social media content. Experience working with staff and key personnel at universities, community colleges, and high schools. Possesses strong written and technical communication skills for drafting emails, briefings, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and marketing materials.
