Job Description Position Overview: The Operations Security Supervisor will perform various duties supporting the safety of personnel, buildings, property, and operations related to the company. The position also oversees the daily activity of contracted security guards. Reporting Responsibilities: This position reports to the Director of the Operations and Security Department. General Responsibilities: • Supervises and monitors the performance of contracted security personnel., • Conducts routine inspections of facilities and equipment., • Prepares and distributes badges to visitors and provides access to buildings and parking area., • Responsible for documenting accurately detailed incident reports and observations., • Responds to calls for assistance, including medical, fire, workplace violence and accidents. Position Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent required., • Minimum two years’ experience in security, law enforcement or military., • Must have and maintain an excellent Driver’s License for the past 3 years., • Must have a valid New York State Security Guard License., • Ability to diffuse conflict. Physical and Sensory Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for an undefined amount of time., • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions., • Ability to work days, evenings weekends, holidays and overtime hours., • Demonstrates dependability in terms of attendance and availability., • Ability to serve as a messenger making deliveries both internally and externally., • Ability to read, write and converse in English., • Ability to bend, lift, push and pull, up to 30 lbs. without assistance.
