Job Description HIRING IMMEDIATELY IN PERSON INTERVIEW Job Title: Case Picker / PIT Machine Operator Job Description This role involves operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), including CHERRY PICKERS, order pickers, reach trucks, and ride-on pallet jacks, to safely and efficiently move, pick, and stage products in a high-volume warehouse environment. You will work across dry, chilled, and freezer areas, complete a structured interview and live PIT test, and support weekend and variable scheduling needs while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity. Responsibilities • Operate order pickers, reach trucks, and ride-on electric pallet jacks to pick, move, and stage products according to work orders and RF scanner instructions., • Use RF scanners to accurately locate, pick, and record inventory while maintaining high levels of accuracy and productivity., • Perform case picking and order picking in dry, chill, and freezer environments, following all safety and operational procedures., • Safely operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed to support warehouse operations., • Follow direction from supervisors and participate in a structured interview and live PIT test to demonstrate equipment proficiency., • Maintain awareness of surroundings and adhere to all warehouse safety rules, including safe driving practices and proper equipment handling., • Work assigned weekend shifts and adjust to varying schedules based on department and machine requirements., • Arrive on time, professionally prepared for each shift, and ready to work across multiple temperature zones., • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding work progress, equipment issues, and safety concerns., • Support general warehouse tasks related to picking, staging, and moving product to ensure efficient distribution operations. Essential Skills • Minimum 12+ months of recent PIT experience., • Hands-on experience operating CHERRY PICKER, order pickers, reach trucks, or ride-on pallet jacks., • Ability to clearly describe prior companies worked for, machines operated, and dates of operation., • Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking., • Experience with case picking and order picking in a warehouse environment., • Ability to operate electric and manual pallet jacks safely and efficiently., • Willingness and ability to work weekends and maintain schedule flexibility., • Capability and willingness to work in dry, chilled (32–45°ree;F), and freezer (-10°ree;F) environments., • Ability to pass E-Verify., • Understanding of the purpose and expectations of a formal interview and live PIT testing process., • Strong punctuality and professional presentation for interviews, testing, and scheduled shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience in high-volume distribution or similar warehouse environments., • Comfort working with stand-up style equipment and various PIT machines., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and scanning orders., • Good communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and team members., • Reliability and consistency in following safety procedures and operational guidelines. Schedules vary by department and machine assignment, and weekend work is required.
