Job DescriptionJob Title: Infrastructure ForemanJob Description This role leads field crews performing infrastructure repair and maintenance projects, ensuring safe, high-quality work is completed on time and in accordance with project specifications. You will supervise daily activities, coordinate equipment and materials, uphold safety standards, and serve as a key communication link between the field and project leadership while working outdoors in varied conditions. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise field crews of approximately 3–10 workers performing infrastructure repair and maintenance projects., • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to keep projects on schedule., • Organize and manage equipment, tools, and materials required for concrete, pipe, and utility repair work., • Operate or oversee the operation of heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner., • Ensure consistent compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, including conducting toolbox talks and enforcing jobsite hazard mitigation practices., • Inspect ongoing work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to repair specifications, site plans, and work orders., • Read and interpret blueprints, site drawings, and work orders to guide field activities and ensure correct execution of repairs., • Perform and oversee concrete work, including concrete repair, finishing, formwork, rebar placement, and epoxy-related tasks as needed., • Support infrastructure repair activities involving water and sewer systems, pipe repair, trenching, and utility restoration., • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with tools, pumps, and repair equipment to minimize downtime., • Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily logs, material usage, and work progress reports., • Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders regarding job status, issues, and resource needs., • Coach, mentor, and develop crew members by providing guidance, feedback, and on-the-job training., • Promote a productive, team-oriented work environment while maintaining high standards of performance and safety., • Adapt to changing project requirements, weather conditions, and site constraints to keep work moving safely and efficiently.Essential Skills, • Proven experience in construction, utilities, or civil infrastructure work., • Hands-on experience with concrete and concrete repair, including basic finishing tasks., • Crew leadership experience, including managing 3–10 field workers, delegating tasks, coaching, and enforcing productivity., • Experience with infrastructure repair such as water or sewer systems, concrete restoration, pipe repair, trenching, or utility restoration., • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini-excavators, and compactors., • Strong understanding of safety compliance, including OSHA standards and jobsite hazard mitigation., • Ability to conduct or participate in toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practices on site., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, repair specifications, and work orders., • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting tools, pumps, and repair equipment., • Strong communication skills for coordinating with crews and project stakeholders., • Solid documentation skills for field reporting, including daily logs and material tracking., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced field environment., • Valid driver’s license., • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and in trenches, confined spaces, or uneven terrain.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with concrete finishing, masonry, rebar installation, and formwork., • Familiarity with epoxy-based repair products or systems., • Experience with water and sewer systems, pipe repair, or concrete restoration., • Experience using construction management or field reporting tools such as Procore or similar platforms., • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus., • Training or certifications related to OSHA safety standards are beneficial., • Demonstrated ability to provide on-the-job training and mentorship to field crews.Why Work Here? The role includes regular exposure to dirt, water, trenches, and construction equipment, as well as working in trenches, confined spaces, and on uneven terrain. Work hours may vary based on project needs, weather conditions, and emergency response requirements. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment such as skid steers and mini-excavators, and other construction and repair equipment while adhering to strict safety practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln Park, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
