Job DescriptionDescription: URM Stores, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Graphic Designer to support the organization’s advertising and creative needs, with a strong focus on digital ad production and store-specific PDF advertising. This role will primarily support customized digital ads for retail stores that distribute ads digitally, while also assisting with print materials, presentations, and other marketing collateral as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with multiple projects and shifting priorities. This position focuses heavily on production design and layout, creating accurate and consistent advertising materials within established templates and deadlines. The Schedule for the position will be approximately 24 - 28-hours per week. This is a 100% on-site position. Your Day-to-Day: • Create and customize digital PDF grocery advertisements for retail partners., • Coordinate with store partners through email and phone communication to organize and verify advertising details., • Adapt layouts into store-specific versions, ensuring pricing, items, and information are accurate., • Place text and images into InDesign templates., • Prepare high-resolution and low-resolution PDFs for print and digital use., • Proofread advertising information for accuracy and consistency., • Resize, edit, and manipulate images in Photoshop., • Assist with design of signage, bag stuffers, and newspaper ads as needed., • Maintain organization of files, ad calendars, and production deadlines., • Upload finalized materials to internal or external websites., • Collaborate and cross-train with other members of the design team., • Associate’s degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience preferred., • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator., • Experience creating digital layouts and exporting optimized PDFs., • Strong PowerPoint design and formatting skills., • High attention to detail and proofreading skills., • Ability to manage deadlines and stay organized in a production-driven workflow., • Experience preparing files for both digital and print output., • Familiarity with CMYK four-color process printing., • Experience customizing templates and adapting layouts for multiple versions., • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat., • Comfortable in a Mac-based design environment., • Assisting with layout and design of grocery ad pages., • Input text and photos into InDesign templates., • Exporting PDFs for press and proofing., • Use of spell check to ensure proper spelling of ad information. Must pay extreme attention to detail and have high level proofreading skills on own work as well as work of team members., • Staying organized, understanding ad calendars and deadlines., • Cross training with other team members., • Creating miscellaneous bag stuffers, signage, and print collateral., • Downloading, resizing, clipping, and manipulating photos in Photoshop., • Incorporating themes and seasonal artwork as needed., • Creating low resolution PDFs for online viewing.
