Job Description Neurological Care PC is seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and Board Certified Neurologist to join our established practice/department in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis, management, and treatment of a wide range of neurological disorders for an adult patient population. This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to all clinical and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Patient Care and Diagnostics:, • Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations and physical examinations., • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions including, but not limited to, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease), multiple sclerosis, headache/migraine, neuropathy, and dementia., • Order, interpret, and integrate the results of diagnostic tests, such as MRI, CT, EEG, EMG, NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies), and Lumbar Punctures., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing and managing medications and referrals for physical or occupational therapy., • Clinical and Operational Duties:, • Provide outpatient clinic services (specific mix depends on the role)., • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records (EMR)., • Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards of medical practice., • Collaboration and Education:, • Consult and collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, neurosurgeons, hospitalists, and other medical specialists to ensure holistic patient care., • Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students (especially in an academic setting)., • Education & Certification:, • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited school., • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program., • Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Neurology., • Possession of or eligibility for a current, unrestricted New York State Medical License., • DEA registration., • Experience & Skills:, • Experience in a general or sub-specialized neurology practice is preferred; new graduates will also be considered., • Strong procedural skills (e.g., EMG/NCS proficiency is often desired)., • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient counseling skills, with cultural sensitivity to Brooklyn’s diverse patient population.
