Job Description Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark ("CCAN") is a non-profit corporation affiliated with Mount Carmel Guild Schools Corporation ("MCGS"). MCGS operates Mount Carmel Guild Academy, a private out-of-district placement for children within special education, for grades PRE-K-12. The Academy is located in West Orange, New Jersey. Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Clinical Instructors are responsible for the clinical education of RN student nurses in the hospital setting. Instructors report to the Associate Dean of Nursing and work closely with the course coordinator to ensure clinical objectives are achieved. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: • Attend Passaic County Community College orientation to course (delivered by course coordinator either in person or via zoom), • Attend hospital orientation and meet all health, certification, and licensing requirements., • Meet with nurse manager (or appointee) to discuss expectations, limitations, and clinical objectives prior to first day of clinical., • Select appropriate learning experience based on course outcomes, with input from unit manager or (appointee)., • Orient student group to hospital policy and unit along with clear expectations for the overall clinical experience., • Provide clinical instruction, supervision and guidance to student group in clinical site (or simulation lab), including pre and post conferences., • Provide weekly feedback to students and course coordinator., • Provide written evaluation of student performance at mid and end terms., • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), • Current New Jersey RN License, • Minimum three 3 years recent/relevant clinical experience in specialty area, • Previous teaching experience and specialty certification preferred. Job DescriptionPassaic County Community College is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Nurse Education program. This is a full-time, tenure track position for a qualified faculty member to teach Pediatrics and/or Maternity nursing in an ADN nursing program. The Nurse Education Program is located on the Passaic campus. Faculty in the Department of Nurse Education report directly to the Associate Dean of Nurse Education.
