Job Description About the Role: You will work with our technical team to assist in the completion of cathodic protection and inspection/non-destructive testing (NDT) work. This may include excavation, backfilling, and low-voltage DC wiring using hand tools and equipment such as concrete saws, augers, and walk-behind trenchers. You may be asked to perform repair and survey tasks on facilities like tanks, piping, and docks. Inspection work may include working in and around petroleum and chemical storage tanks to collect various forms of data. Examples of work locations include bulk storage terminals, power generating facilities, utility substations, and pipeline right-of-ways. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be technically oriented and willing to learn, • Must be able to communicate effectively, • Must be able to work outdoors independently and as part of a team, • Must have valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, • Must be able to walk for long distances on uneven terrain, • This is a SAFETY-sensitive position subject to DOT drug testing, • Ability to travel overnight 1-2 weeks a year., • This is a DOT (non-CDL) position, which requires a standard driver's license and adherence to certain Department of Transportation (DOT) rules for commercial vehicles that don't require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Preferred Qualifications: • TWIC card, • OSHA CFR 1910 & 1926, • Confined Space Entry and Attendant Training, • At least six months of related experience Responsibilities: • Perform site preparation to facilitate cathodic protection system installation., • Install and maintain cathodic protection equipment such as anodes, rectifiers, and monitoring devices., • Conduct routine inspections and manual tasks to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of CP systems., • Collaborate with crew to coordinate activities and ensure timely completion of projects., • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized worksite. Other Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, such as trenches, pits, and manholes, • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly, • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps and ladders regularly, • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, or drive for long periods of time (1-3 hours)., • Must be able to see, hear, and respond quickly to dangerous situations, • Must be comfortable working outdoors, including in extreme weather conditions., • Must be comfortable wearing personal protective gear while working (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety vest, FRCs)., • Ability to adhere to OSHA and site-specific PPE and safety requirements.For over 40 years, ONEMESA has been providing solutions for corrosion control and rust mitigation across all sectors. Compensation Range: $XX,XXX – $YY,YYY annually (or $XX.XX – $YY.YY per hour) The compensation range listed for this position represents ONEMESA's good-faith estimate of the pay range it reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible travel and field employees may also receive additional benefits and incentives, including per diem allowances, cell phone stipends, and single-occupancy hotel accommodations. This position is typically Monday - Friday, home every night with occasional travel (typically 1-3 nights) and rare long-term travel (typically 1-2 weeks annually). Occasional Saturday and/or Sunday work may be requested, but not mandatory. 40 or more hours per week, OT rules applies.
