Position Type: Faculty Position Description: NYU Langone Health, a world-class, patient-centered, integrated, academic medical center, is one of the nation's premier centers for excellence in clinical care, biomedical research and medical education. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Laborist to join our thriving Manhattan Faculty Group Practice (FGP). Our practice serves a diverse population, caring for both low and high-risk pregnancies with approximately 2,500 deliveries per year at our Tisch Hospital campus. As a Laborist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional inpatient care for patients requiring obstetric admission. We are seeking an individual who can effectively communicate, is passionate about patient safety and quality, and who enjoys working in a high volume, high acuity, multi-disciplinary clinical setting. Responsibilities: Inpatient Coverage: • Provide comprehensive inpatient coverage for FGP patients and unassigned patients requiring obstetric admission., • Evaluate patients presenting in triage as needed and facilitate their admission or discharge as clinically indicated., • Perform neonatal circumcisions as part of routine postpartum care., • Supervise and deliver care for high-risk patients, with 24-hour consultation support from Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty., • Maintain the highest standards of evidence-based obstetric care., • Adhere to policies and procedures to enhance operational workflows for patient care. Contribute to the educational and research goals of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Salary: $275,000 to $350,000 The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors. Qualifications: • Doctoral Degree (M.D. or D.O.)., • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology., • Successfully completed a U.S. Accredited OB/GYN Residency training program., • New York State Medical license., • Five years work experience., • Strong communication skills.
