Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping young children build foundational motor skills. Responsibilities * Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s developmental needs. * Provide engaging, play-based, child-led physical therapy services for infants and toddlers with gross motor delays, torticollis, neuromotor challenges, cerebral palsy, autism, prematurity, down syndrome and other developmental conditions common in early childhood. * Collaborate closely with caregivers, offering guidance and home strategies that support progress beyond the clinic. * Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. * Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports in alignment with clinic standards. * Participate in team meetings, community partnerships, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications * Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) * Current CA state licensure * Experience in pediatrics preferred, but new graduates with strong pediatric clinical rotations are encouraged to apply. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * CPR certification. Compensation * Competitive salary range: * Full-Time: $ 80,000-120,000 annually * Part-Time: Pro-rated based on hours * Additional compensation opportunities available based on experience and specialization. About the Role: The Pediatric Physical Therapist plays a critical role in improving the physical health and functional abilities of children from infancy through adolescence. This position focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of developmental, neuromuscular, and musculoskeletal conditions to enhance mobility, strength, and coordination. The therapist collaborates closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans that support each child's unique needs and goals. Through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, the Pediatric Physical Therapist aims to maximize each child's independence and quality of life. Additionally, the role involves educating families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and strategies to continue progress outside of clinical settings. Minimum Qualifications: • Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials to practice in the relevant state or region., • Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred) from an accredited program., • Experience or clinical training in pediatric physical therapy., • Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and common childhood physical conditions., • Board Certification in Pediatrics (e.g., Pediatric Clinical Specialist - PCS)., • Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or schools., • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment for pediatric patients., • Training in specialized therapeutic techniques such as neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) or sensory integration therapy., • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to identify physical impairments and functional limitations., • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals., • Provide hands-on therapy and instruct patients and families in therapeutic exercises and activities., • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes., • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care., • Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely., • Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support ongoing development. The Pediatric Physical Therapist utilizes strong clinical assessment skills daily to evaluate each child's physical abilities and challenges accurately. Effective communication skills are essential for explaining treatment plans and therapeutic exercises to both children and their families in an understandable and supportive manner. Collaboration skills enable the therapist to work seamlessly with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Problem-solving and adaptability are frequently applied to tailor interventions to the evolving needs of pediatric patients. Additionally, organizational skills are critical for maintaining detailed documentation and managing multiple patient caseloads efficiently.
