Job DescriptionDescription: Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Location: Siskin Children’s Institute – Outpatient Pediatric Setting Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric outpatient team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and providing evidence-based interventions to children with developmental, neurological, and sensory processing challenges. The ideal candidate demonstrates competence in evaluation and treatment within the pediatric population and collaborates well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in early intervention and parent coaching is highly valued in delivering family-centered care. Key Responsibilities • Conduct evaluations with standardized testing and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs., • Provide direct occupational therapy services in areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care, and functional participation., • Collaborate with families and caregivers to support skill carryover at home and in the community., • Supervise and mentor COTAs to ensure high-quality, coordinated care., • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team (PT, ST, and others) to support holistic care., • Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and caregiver communication accurately and in a timely manner., • Opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive pediatric therapy environment., • Professional growth and continuing education opportunities., • Meaningful, family-centered work that directly impacts children’s lives.Requirements: Qualifications Required: • Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program., • Current licensure in the state of Tennessee., • Current CPR and First Aid certification., • Pediatric outpatient experience., • Ability to supervise COTAs., • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist pediatric patients as needed., • Frequent bending, kneeling, and floor-based activity required., • Active engagement in play-based and movement-based interventions.
