A healthcare facility in New Jersey is actively seeking a patient-oriented and dedicated Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing staff. In this role, the Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentation; including history and physical for complex hematology / oncology adult patients in the outpatient setting. Responsibilities The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP): • Provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentation, • Performs inpatient hospital rounding as per provided schedule, • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic treatments and non-pharmacologic modalities, • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's disease-specific needs, • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions prescribed, • Facilitates the patient's transition within and between healthcare settings, • Provides education to patients, families, and significant others, • Acts as an information resource to students, healthcare professionals, patients, and the public, • Nurse Practitioner (NP) license for the state of New Jersey
