Additionally, Lead Teachersare responsibleforcreating a safe, engaging, and developmentallyappropriate classroomenvironment.This positionis responsible forlesson plan development and implementation,classroom management,parent communication, andfosteringa love of learning in young children. KeyResponsibilities Classroom Leadership & Teaching • Plan and implementdevelopmentallyappropriatelessonplansand daily classroom schedulein accordance withFrog Street curriculum, othercurriculumsas supplied,andBHSbest practices., • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourageslearning,exploration,and creativity., • Use a variety of teaching methods, includingdirect instruction, small and large groups,play-based learning, music, movement, and sensory activities., • Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of children at all times., • Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development., • Observe and document each child's progress, sharing insights with families., • Prepare for and conduct parent teacher conferences twice during the school year to communicate child progress with parents., • Mentor and guideAssistantTeachers, ensuring a smooth classroom workflow., • Maintain open, professional communication withschool leadership,familiesand staff., • Observe all rules, regulations, andbest practicesin accordancewithDECALstatelicensing guidelines, company policy, and other regulatory bodies to ensure the health, safety, and care ofchildren., • Maintaina clean, organized, and nurturing classroom., • Adhere to health and safety protocols, includingtoileting, sanitation, and emergency procedures., • Passionate about early childhood education and child development., • Strong understanding of age-appropriate learning and behavior guidance., • Able to create a warm, engaging, and structured learning environment., • Excellent communication and teamwork skills., • DECAL requiresLead teachers in Georgiato have one of the following valid and current certificates or credentials:, • StronglyPreferred:Certified teacher inEarly Childhood or Birth to Five education or aBachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education,Child Developmentor a related degree., • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development(AA, AAS, AAT)., • Minimum of 23 years of teaching experience in a licensed early childhood education (ECE) programin alottery fundedPreKorprivate PreK. Experience in private orpublicschool.
