Options for Community Living, Inc. is looking for an Marketing & Development Specialist to join our team! An ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree related to public administration, public relations, communications, or other related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, grant-writing, and/or social media management in a non-profit environment or comparable demonstrated experience. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (35 hours/week) Location: Ronkonkoma, NY Pay Type: Non-exempt Responsibilities: The Marketing and Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of marketing, communications, and development initiatives that advance the agency's mission and strengthen community awareness. This role focuses on creating and maintaining high-quality marketing content, managing day-to-day communications activities, and ensuring the smooth execution of campaigns across digital, social, and print platforms. The Specialist works closely with the Development team to implement campaigns, maintain systems, and produce mission-driven content that aligns with organizational branding and messaging. This position reports to the Director of Philanthropy & Development and collaborates closely with the Development Manager. • Develop and produce marketing materials including social media posts, email content, flyers, brochures, and reports, ensuring consistent branding and messaging., • Execute social media content calendars, including drafting posts, scheduling content, and monitoring engagement., • Support implementation of multi-channel campaigns by creating assets (graphics, videos, email content) based on established strategies., • Write and distribute press releases and basic communications materials as needed., • Capture, edit, and prepare photography and video content for marketing and promotional use., • Stay informed on basic marketing trends and tools and apply best practices to daily work., • Maintain and update website content, including routine edits, event postings, and program updates., • Assist with troubleshooting and ensuring accuracy, functionality, and visual consistency across digital platforms., • Coordinate updates with external marketing vendors or service providers as directed., • Support planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement activities., • Assist with volunteer coordination, outreach communications, and engagement tracking., • Support department interns and assist with day-to-day project tasks as assigned., • Support internal engagement initiatives and act as co-chair of the employee engagement committee, including coordination of activities and communications., • Maintain and update donor CRM records, including data entry, list management, and email campaign setup., • Generate basic reports, mailing lists, and communication exports as needed., • Support preparation of grant materials by gathering content, formatting documents, and assisting with submissions., • Assist with internal and external monthly newsletter production, including content collection, formatting, and distribution., • Maintain organizational profiles on nonprofit accreditation platforms (e.g., GuideStar/Candid, Charity Navigator)., • Provide general administrative support, including filing, scheduling support, and documentation tasks.Salary Range$41,860—$54,600 USD Incredible people doing meaningful work.
