Job Description Job Title: Commercial Electrician Job Description We are seeking experienced Commercial Electrician for new construction and renovation projects in commercial buildings and warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on electrical experience, be safety‑focused, and able to work independently or as part of a crew on fast‑paced job sites. Responsibilities • Bend, thread, and install EMT, aluminum, and galvanized pipes ranging from ½" to 4"., • Operate pulling machines, threading tools, and hydraulic benders., • Read and interpret fire alarm schematics and install devices according to NYC FA Code., • Perform data, Cat6, and RJ45 terminations., • Wire and install receptacles, lighting, switching, and understand dimming systems., • Install and troubleshoot dimming systems., • Handle condensing units, air handlers, and condensate pumps., • Install disconnect switches, end-of-line boxes, and meter banks., • Work with trough and wiremold, and troubleshoot electrical faults and poor connections., • Apply knowledge of electrical panels, live parts, and electrical safety., • Electrical wiring and conduit bending., • Blueprint reading and electrical drawing interpretation., • Proficiency in 3-way and 4-way switching., • Understanding of electrical panels, live parts, and electrical safety., • Knowledge of NYC and national electrical codes., • OSHA 30 Card Required . Work with a large private commercial electrical contractor on high-end retail and large commercial projects alongside some of New York's largest general contractors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carteret, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
