Immediate opening for a Director, Supply Chain supporting operations in Reynosa, Mexico and Wilmington, MA, with preference for candidates located in the McAllen, TX area, who possesses: • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred, • 7+ years of leadership experience across Supply Chain, including purchasing, planning, materials, and strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment, • Experience owning both strategic sourcing and plant-level planning/materials functions, • 5+ years of experience leading Kaizen, SIOP, and continuous improvement initiatives, • Strong supplier development, negotiation, inventory optimization, and shortage-management experience, • Experience managing direct reports and geographically dispersed or remote teams, • Aerospace, Defense, electronics, or similarly complex high-mix manufacturing experience strongly preferred FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced Director, Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end supply chain and materials strategy for a growing Aerospace and Defense manufacturing organization with operations in Reynosa, Mexico and Wilmington, Massachusetts. This senior leadership role will oversee purchasing, strategic sourcing, production planning, materials, inventory, supplier development, and related logistics functions across both locations. The ideal candidate will have broad Supply Chain leadership experience spanning both upstream sourcing and plant-level planning, a strong background in high-mix manufacturing, and the ability to develop suppliers, reduce risk, optimize inventory, and lead teams through significant business growth. The selected candidate will be responsible for: • Leading the overall Supply Chain and materials strategy across manufacturing operations, • Providing strategic and tactical leadership across Purchasing, Planning, Materials, Inventory, and Strategic Sourcing, • Leading Supply Chain activities supporting both Reynosa, Mexico and Wilmington, Massachusetts operations, • Directly managing, mentoring, and developing Supply Chain leadership and team members, • Providing leadership to approximately 3 to 5 direct reports and additional indirect team members, • Developing succession plans and strengthening organizational capability across the Supply Chain function, • Driving initiatives to improve total cost, quality, lead time, payment terms, delivery, and supplier service, • Negotiating strategic short-term and long-term supplier relationships and agreements, • Leading sourcing, pricing, material availability, and supplier negotiations, • Ensuring Purchasing and Planning teams appropriately buy, plan, and expedite materials to support production schedules, • Managing a large and diverse supplier base supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing, • Developing strategies to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers, • Identifying and qualifying additional sources for critical materials and components, • Leading supplier development and risk-mitigation activities, • Evaluating supplier capabilities, quality, delivery, cost, and long-term strategic fit, • Developing grow, maintain, and exit strategies for key suppliers and commodities, • Managing sourcing activities for raw materials, machined components, castings, forgings, electronic components, PCBAs, cable harnesses, and related manufactured products, • Developing and managing critical commodity strategies, • Monitoring commodity markets, supplier conditions, cost drivers, and supply risks, • Reopening and renegotiating supplier agreements when appropriate, • Addressing material shortages and implementing sustainable recovery strategies, • Developing sourcing strategies for both stable and higher-risk suppliers, • Supporting sourcing activities across U.S.-based and low-cost-region suppliers, • Forecasting and planning material requirements based on sales and production schedules, • Leading inventory-management strategies while supporting production and customer demand, • Developing and executing strategies to reduce inventory without negatively impacting delivery performance, • Supporting Supplier Managed Inventory and Vendor Managed Inventory programs, • Implementing and optimizing Kanban and material-pull systems, • Overseeing production planning and materials-management activities, • Partnering with Operations leadership on warehousing, shipping, and logistics activities, • Leading SIOP processes across the business unit, • Leading Kaizen events and other Lean or continuous improvement initiatives, • Developing Supply Chain KPIs and SMART goals, • Holding teams accountable for KPI performance and improvement objectives, • Monitoring supplier delivery, inventory, shortages, lead times, cost, and other Supply Chain performance indicators, • Collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Corporate Supply Chain, and business leadership, • Driving process-improvement and operational-efficiency initiatives across the organization, • Developing standardized Supply Chain procedures, sourcing processes, and best practices, • Ensuring Supply Chain processes and suppliers align with applicable AS9100 requirements, • Supporting significant business growth while maintaining Supply Chain stability and performance, • Working closely with manufacturing leadership in a high-mix, low-volume environment, • Supporting production operations involving electronic assemblies, soldering, machined components, mechanical assemblies, and other aerospace products, • Performing other Supply Chain leadership duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess: • Bachelor's degree required, • MBA preferred, • C.P.M., C.P.I.M., or similar Supply Chain certification preferred, • 7+ years of experience leading a Supply Chain organization required, • Manufacturing environment experience required, • Experience leading Purchasing required, • Experience leading Production Planning or Materials Planning required, • Strategic Sourcing leadership experience required, • Demonstrated ability to lead both upstream sourcing and plant-level materials functions required, • Prior direct-report management experience required, • Experience leading remote or geographically dispersed teams required, • Experience managing Supply Chain activity across multiple manufacturing locations strongly preferred, • 5+ years of experience driving Kaizen and SIOP initiatives strongly preferred, • Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience required, • Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred, • Strong understanding of SIOP processes required, • Kanban and material-pull management experience preferred, • Experience implementing Vendor Managed Inventory or consignment inventory programs preferred, • Supplier development experience required, • Supplier assessment and performance-management experience required, • Experience developing alternate sources and dual-sourcing strategies strongly preferred, • Experience managing material shortages and supplier risk required, • Strong contract and supplier negotiation experience required, • Experience sourcing in low-cost regions preferred, • Mexico sourcing or manufacturing experience strongly preferred, • Experience sourcing machined components, castings, forgings, PCBAs, cable harnesses, electronic components, and/or related commodities strongly preferred, • High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred, • Aerospace and Defense industry experience preferred, • Electronics manufacturing experience preferred, • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment required, • AS9100 familiarity strongly preferred, • Strong inventory-management and inventory-reduction experience required, • Experience developing KPIs and holding teams accountable for performance required, • Oracle or similar ERP system experience required, • Strong financial and commercial understanding of supplier cost structures required, • Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills required, • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills required, • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, • Ability to work effectively with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, suppliers, and executive leadership, • Ability to lead Supply Chain through significant organizational growth, • Ability to work primarily onsite in Reynosa, Mexico while maintaining regular presence in Wilmington, Massachusetts, • Preference for candidates located in or near the McAllen, TX area, • Ability to travel regularly between Reynosa and Wilmington as business needs require, • U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident strongly preferred due to applicable U.S. Government contract requirements, • Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing supplier data, ERP information, inventory reports, production schedules, forecasts, KPIs, contracts, and financial information, • Ability to stand and walk throughout manufacturing, warehouse, materials, production, and office areas as needed, • Ability to travel regularly between manufacturing locations in Reynosa, Mexico and Wilmington, Massachusetts, • Ability to communicate by phone, email, virtual meeting, and in person throughout the workday, • Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data analysis, reporting, documentation, and standard office tasks, • Ability to review detailed spreadsheets, ERP data, supplier performance information, production reports, contracts, and computer screens for extended periods, • Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout manufacturing and warehouse environments, • Ability to work around production machinery, electronic assembly operations, materials, warehouses, and normal manufacturing activity, • Ability to wear required PPE and follow applicable manufacturing, quality, security, and safety procedures when entering production areas, • Ability to maintain sound
