Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Program Director is responsible for the overall operation of the residence and for the coordination of all therapeutic services provided through the residence to children and families. This management position exists in the Child and Family Services Division. Directs the administration of residential mental health services within the authority of Executive Management. Responsible for personnel management, fiscal operations, inventory management, recipient services, safety and welfare of recipients, hiring and training of personnel, directing and coordinating the activities of the staff, and administration of the program. Establishes clinical procedures and policies for recipients and ensures that program operations meet or exceed agency and regulatory guidelines. Ensures adherence to program philosophy and regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: List all essential job duties. Monitors counseling performed by staff either individually with a consumer/resident or in groups to evaluate the quality of the service., • Ensure staff is obtaining information, such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to the individual's situation, and that the staff is evaluating the consumer's/resident's capabilities. Regularly directs the inspection of case records to evaluate the completeness and quality of treatment plans, quarterly service plans reviews, assessments, medical records, and progress notes. Responsible for the accuracy of data entered into a computer database or manual records., • Informs staff to the types of clinical services, recreational activities, and ICL programs available., • Reviews crisis assessment of consumers/residents with staff, reviews nonverbal and verbal crisis intervention techniques to be used with each individual consumer/resident, and staff-actions during a crisis situation., • Informs staff of community resources and ensures that staff are accompanying consumers on regularly scheduled or emergency visits to medical treatment facilities, social agencies, government offices, or other locations associated with treatment or assistance of the consumer/resident., • Immediately reports serious incidents, allegations of abuse, incidents, or sensitive situations and completes incident reports in accordance with agency policy., • Establishes and maintains work schedules in accordance with agency policy and assignments of staff. Responsible for managing the completion of time clock edits of staff within the suspense established by the Human Resources Department., • Ensures staff compliance with the agency's time and attendance policy; recommends disciplinary action for those out of compliance., • Manages the completion of performance evaluations, recommends staff for the employee recognition award and promotions., • Conducts staff supervision in accordance with agency and division policy., • Administers disciplinary actions in accordance with agency disciplinary policy, conducts disciplinary counseling, completes disciplinary action reports, and recommends employee terminations as needed., • Reviews authorized staff positions and personnel budget, submits Request for Personnel (RFP), on vacant staff position(s), interviews candidates for employment in accordance with agency policy and employment law. Recommend changes to authorized staffing patterns and personnel budget., • Ensures that staff have attended required in-service training and schedules employees to attend both in-service training and training provided by vendors. Conducts training on clinical subjects, charting, fire safety plan, fire drills, emergency plans and procedures, building security, volunteers and interns, and site-specific exposure control plan., • Manages employee accident reporting and initial submission of workers' compensation claims., • Monitors employee morale and the climate of the work environment to stop or eliminate sexual harassment or any form of employee harassment or employee discrimination. Responsible for taking complaints of sexual harassment, informing the Human Resources Department of the complaint, and investigating the complaint (as directed)., • Monitors employee accrual totals, approves or recommends approval of employee requests for time off, and notifies the Department of Human Resources when an employee should be placed on or taken off Family and Medical Leave (FMLA). Maintains contact with staff while out on FMLA., • Provides oversight in the area of administrative recordkeeping, maintenance of office equipment, reception of visitors, phone reception, and stocking office supplies., • Manages the orientation of new personnel and the sponsorship program., • Maintains accountability and serviceability of all ICL property assigned to the program to include vehicles. Reports lost stolen, missing, or damaged property in accordance with ICL policy. Conducts initial investigations of property that is lost, stolen, missing, or damaged., • Authorizes the purchase of supplies and equipment; properly secures all property and equipment. Conducts regular inspections of vehicles and property to ensure cleanliness, accountability, and serviceability., • Conducts regular inspections of consumer/resident rooms or apartments to ensure property accountability and serviceability. Establishes key control procedures., • Ensures internal program compliance with federal, state, city, and agency regulatory requirements. Monitors the quality of the rehabilitative services provided to consumers/residents., • Responsible for the development of a program mission statement and program goals that support the division and agency mission statements and goals., • Coordinates with the Department of Quality Management and the departments in the Administrative Division for staff assistance in the preparation for an audit., • Reviews plans of corrective action, incident reports, and program evaluation reports and addresses areas that need improvement., • Exercises control over budgets through planning, prioritizing of spending, and monitoring of spending patterns., • Approves/disapproves all purchase orders and financial requests from staff and submits approved purchase orders and financial requests to supervisor for approval., • Manages resident/consumer funds program. Develops internal money management procedures., • Educates staff in the benefits of consumer and family involvement, levels of consumer and family involvement, types of consumers and family involvement, nature of consumer and family involvement, and issues of working with consumers and families., • Develops a program strategy for working with consumers and families and develops activities that foster program-consumer and family cooperation and coordination., • Promotes Mental Health and Managed Care programs in local communities; maintains liaison between local elected officials and community boards, educates citizens in the community on mental illness., • Educates staff and residents/consumers on the importance of a constructive relationship with locally elected officials, community boards, and community citizens., • Cooperates with other organizations in development of understanding and interest participating in long range plans for mental health program development. Conducts Investigations: Conducts internal investigations of untoward incidents as directed by Quality Assurance or Human Resources in accordance with agency policy. General: Willingness and ability to use ICL supplied communication tools (e.g. computers, beepers, telephone, fax, etc.) regularly in the course of conducting business. Compliance with attendance rules and the ability to work on a regular schedule and has on-call responsibilities. The Program Director will be responsible for recruiting and leading a team of direct care and support staff responsible for the service delivery to a specialized population. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of supportive housing, direct experience working with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders and/or trauma, and a demonstrated commitment to empowering residents toward self-reliance and stability. (WSFSSH) is a community-based organization whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting which enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides housing for low- income older persons, many of whom live with mental illness and/or have experienced homelessness. WSFSSH currently owns and operates nearly 2,400 units in 29 buildings located in Manhattan and the Bronx. The Claremont is a model housing program and is located in the Claremont neighborhood of the Bronx. It has 90 supportive housing units for persons who are 50 and older most of whom have experienced homelessness, have a serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder.. Job Description: Under the supervision of the Managing Director of Congregate Care, the Claremont Director provides leadership and is responsible for establishing and maintaining a supportive housing community. We are seeking a Residence Manager for The Doe Fund's newest permanent supportive housing program for homeless men and women living with HIV/AIDS. Half of the residents will be referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and the other half will be apartments for affordable to low-income households. The Residence Manager is responsible for the supervision of the residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts. S/he will work collaboratively with the Clinical team and the Program Director to ensure that resident needs are being met as well as the safety of the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the Residence Manager will include, but are not limited to the following: • Works closely with Interdisciplinary Clinical team to coordinate treatment plans for the people we support., • Ensures that all measures for safety and well-being are maintained at highest level., • Schedules staff to provide adequate coverage for regular workdays, holidays, vacations, leaves, medical appointments and trips., • Schedules staff to participate in in-service training, interdisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings., • Assists with hiring of subordinate staff. Orients, trains, evaluates and recommends disciplining of subordinate staff., • Responds to program and work-related questions, problems, complaints from staff., • Makes weekly environmental rounds from which work requests are generated. Arranges for maintenance of physical plant and equipment, including van., • Oversees fire safety systems, including smoke detectors, sprinkler heads, alarm bells, emergency lights, and documents inspections quarterly., • Handles supply inventories of household, food, office supplies, clothing and personal items., • Responds to crisis situations and medical emergencies, including accidents by taking quick and decisive action., • Ensures actions are conducted in a manner that prevents abuse., • Administers appropriate first aid based on visible symptoms and resident history in accordance with established guidelines and accepted first aid practices., • Summons police, fire, ambulance or other emergency personnel if situation warrants it., • If emergency has caused a person we support to exhibit behavior that is threatening or dangerous, may be required to utilize strategies for crisis intervention in accordance with OPWDD approved Behavior Management guidelines., • Maintains records on subordinate staff such as level of performance, specific deficiencies, counseling sessions training records, etc., • Ensures the residence is kept clean, neat, healthy and safe., • Responds to program and work-related questions, problems, complaints and grievances from staff., • Develops residential facility rules and procedures., • Ensures residential facility is kept clean, neat, healthy and safe., • Assures that all staff are coordinating their efforts in order to complete such routine household tasks as laundry, menu preparation, shopping, cooking, etc. with goal of increasing independence of the people we support in performing these functions., • Directly responsible for all medical needs and concerns of the people we support., • Works with appropriate clinical or program staff and community agency staff to identify and maintain placement in day programs, workshops, school programs, etc. which are in community and are required in the life plan of the people we support., • Acts on behalf of the people we support at schools or school boards, health clinics, local businesses, employers, transportations, providers, social groups, neighbors, etc. in order to ensure fair and appropriate consideration., • Provides or arranges for transportation of the people we support to and from recreational or social programs, work, school, etc. as required., • Ensures acquisition and maintenance of adaptive equipment in conjunction with Residential Director., • Attends to personal hygiene needs of the people we support, i.e. toileting, bathing and dressing as situation warrants., • Makes purchases of program equipment, clothing and supplies, in accordance with agency purchasing policies., • Dispenses medications to the people we support. Administers appropriate first aid based on visible symptoms and medical history in accordance with guidelines and accepted first aid practices., • Prepares various concise written reports and maintains all required records., • Assists the people we support with financial transactions at banks, preparing deposit and withdrawal slips, and maintaining financial ledgers for all transactions., • Prepares and submits payroll for residential staff., • Maintains petty cash records and records all purchases., • Consults with nurse to ensure proper handling of all medications for the people we support. Job DescriptionDescription: Senior Designer, Construction Administration & Technical Delivery Lead. SUMMARY • A highly experienced, hands-on professional specializing in the technical execution and project delivery of industry-leading interior hospitality projects., • While experienced in all project phases, this role is initially focused on serving as an AvroKO Senior Designer for Construction Administration or various projects. This does not preclude the designer from working on projects in different phases., • The successful candidate will be responsible for technical documentation review, overseeing RFI and submittal processes, conducting detailed site visits and reporting, and ensuring rigorous adherence to design intent during field execution.
