Responsibilities • Machine Setup: Perform complete setups on 3-Axis Vertical Milling Machines, including installing vices, fixtures, and work-holding devices., • Fanuc Proficiency: Navigate Fanuc control panels to load programs, set data, and troubleshoot alarms., • Tool Management: Assemble, measure, and load tooling; perform necessary tool changes during production runs., • Offsets & Adjustments: Accurately dial in tool height offsets (length and diameter) and work coordinate systems (G54, G55, etc.) to maintain tight tolerances., • Program Review: Read and interpret G-Code and M-Code to ensure the machine is performing the correct operations; make minor edits at the controller if necessary., • Quality Control: Inspect the first piece and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure dimensions match the blueprints.
