Job Description Position Purpose The Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Popcorn for the People plays a key role in advancing the organization's revenue and visibility goals through strategic sales planning, targeted marketing efforts, and active community engagement. This position is responsible for developing and executing initiatives that drive wholesale, retail, and event-based sales, while also managing digital content and promotional campaigns. By fostering relationships with local partners and representing the brand in public-facing settings, the Coordinator supports the organization's mission and enhances its impact within the community. DIRECT DUTIES: • Develop and implement sales plans to increase wholesale, retail, and event-based revenue., • Cultivate relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations for bulk orders and fundraising partnerships., • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and customer feedback to inform strategy adjustments., • Create and manage content for social media platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials., • Maintain and grow the organization’s online presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms., • Coordinate seasonal marketing campaigns and product launches., • Represent the brand at community events, farmers markets, and pop-up shops., • Collaborate with program staff to highlight participant stories and organizational impact., • Organize outreach initiatives to increase brand visibility and community support., • Maintain organized records of sales activities, marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts., • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and coordinating logistics for events., • Work with program staff to align messaging and promotional efforts with organizational goals., • Support other departments during peak periods or special initiatives., • Input and update customer and partner information in CRM systems., • Generate periodic reports on sales performance, engagement metrics, and campaign outcomes., • Communicate with operations or fulfillment teams to ensure product availability for campaigns and events., • Monitor inventory levels for promotional materials and reorder as needed., • Assist in onboarding new team members or interns involved in sales or marketing functions., • Share best practices and tools for social media, CRM, and outreach., • Review marketing materials and digital content for accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment., • Monitor customer feedback and flag recurring issues or opportunities for improvement., • Coordinate with external vendors for printing, design, or promotional services., • Maintain positive relationships with community partners and event organizers., • Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and best practices in sales and marketing. Job Qualifications Education and Experience: • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED, or High School equivalent, • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education, • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or community engagement roles, • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital platforms, • Experience with CRM systems, social media management, and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite), • Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for storytelling, content creation, and relationship building. Demonstrates active listening and ensures transparency in all interactions., • Ethical Practice: Upholds confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards in all interactions and decisions, ensuring the rights and dignity of residents are prioritized., • Project Management and Accountability: Skilled in organizing campaigns, coordinating events, and managing multiple priorities effectively. Holds self and team members accountable for meeting expectations and standards., • Collaboration and Community Engagement: Works collaboratively with other professionals, and community partners to ensure quality results.
