one or more of the following specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy (sterile, non-sterile, hazardous, non-hazardous compounding)., • A pharmacist license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in problems, which may arise due to the psychological, social and economic aspects of therapies., • Maintains thorough and appropriate documentation in the patient's medical records of all communications Documents and flags allergies., • Completes pre-procedure documentation in a legible and concise manner., • Reviews history, physical and laboratory values provided by the physician., • Checks and signs off the physician’s orders., • Performs/ensures laboratory tests ordered by physician are completed or drawn., • Inserts IV and administers pre-procedure medications as ordered by physician., • Keeps family members informed of any delays., • Functions in role of scrub/circulator in some units and assists physician with procedures, handles specimens as per protocol., • Post procedure care and discharge instructions as dictated by facility protocols., • Initiates cardiopulmonary resuscitation in age appropriate manner, in accordance with facility protocols, and applicable advance directives., • Advocates patient rights with respect to advance directives., • Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements., • Complies with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent nursing organization.
