POSITION SUMMARY The Driver provides transportation to and from the facility for clients as scheduled. Often responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Supports leadership and employees through a variety of tasks related to transportation, running errands, pickup and delivery of supplies, facility maintenance and communication. Ensures proper and timely cleaning and mechanical maintenance of company vehicles and any records related to such. Ability to effectively communicate via phone, email and text ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Rely on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity, latitude and integrity is expected. Essential Functions: • Adhere to safe driving practices and all traffic laws at all times, • Safely transport clients to and from appointments, ensuring punctual arrivals and departures., • Pickup and delivery of facility supplies as assigned., • Load and unload vehicles as needed., • Ensure routine maintenance is performed on all company vehicle(s) as needed., • Maintain accurate records of all vehicle maintenance., • Maintain interiors and exteriors of company vehicle(s) in clean condition, • Maintain fuel levels of all company vehicles consistently, • Errands and other tasks as assigned., • Perform store runs for clients twice per week., • Assist with facility maintenance, cleaning and organization as needed., • Provide general support to visitors - Maintain positive and professional attitude and demeanor with all clients, staff, visitors and all persons encountered during errands or transport at all times., • Ability to multi-task, delegate tasks, manage client care, maintain facility standards., • Desire to assist those with chemical dependency in their recovery. Education: • Previous experience in administration or transportation highly desirable., • Previous experience in a recovery or medical environment highly desirable Computer Skills: • Computer Literacy in doc, spreadsheet, and email., • Ability to learn proficiency in KIPU Systems Client Management Software. Certificates & Licenses: • Valid Driver’s License, • CPR/First AID, • Drug and Alcohol Counseling Credential or Internship Preferred Other Requirements: • Negative TB test results within past year, • Medical Clearance to work within past year, • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings., • Must have clean driving record. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequently: Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day) • Standing, • Walking, • Sitting, • Transverse Stairs, • Reach Outward, • Reach Above Shoulder, • Squat or Kneel, • Ability to lift/carry 20-50 lbs, Ability to push/pull 20-50 lbs, • Moderate frequency of computer keyboarding,, • Moderate frequency of viewing a computer monitor, • Daily cleaning including but not limited to: wiping, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, washing dishes, • Assisting in meal preparation, installing water containers for consumption, and, • shopping as necessary including pushing of carts and carrying grocery boxes/bags., • Conducting garbage disposal, recycling, and collection., • Occasional walks, hikes, and sports outings with clients for physical activities., • Frequent support of clients in gym environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed on varying shifts and at all facility locations as well as off-site locations. This includes work in facility offices as well as the grounds of the entire facility including upstairs resident rooms, clinical office, and laundry room that are accessed via staircase, and outdoor grounds. Work is often performed in emergency and stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations. BLOOD/FLUID EXPOSURE RISK: Some job tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissue. Staff must wear gloves and follow infectious control procedures when interacting with clients in conditions in which exposure is possible such as handling onsite urinary analysis, conducting first aid, and conducting search of client’s belonging and person. Staff may be exposed to infectious disease, needles, and illicit substances during searches. Work Schedule: As a non-exempt hourly part-time employee, the employee shall work a varying schedule depending on appointments schedules and as assigned by management consisting of primarily day shifts that requiring "flexing" of times up and down based on the needs of client care and transportation. Employee shall not work over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week without prior authorization from management but if so, will earn overtime for any work performed in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Employee must also follow company’s policies regarding required meals and breaks.
