Reporting to the Vice President of Residential Marketing, this position partners across the organization to develop and execute audience-focused communications strategies that support brand leadership, product initiatives, and customer success.This role blends strategic planning, content creation, and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong emphasis on earned media, social media, corporate blog content, and direct customer communications.Key ResponsibilitiesExternal Communications Strategy, • Develop a deep understanding of the Residential portfolio, audiences (Contractors, Distributors, Retailers, Homeowners), industry landscape, and corporate positioning., • Translate business priorities into compelling external-facing content that reinforces market leadership., • Serve as the primary External Communications representative in Residential marketing planning meetings.Earned Media & Thought Leadership, • Partner with the External Communications Center of Excellence (COE) to plan and execute earned media strategies., • Develop integrated communications plans supporting product launches, plant announcements, customer stories, and thought leadership., • Create press releases, talking points, web copy, and social media content for announcements.Social Media & Blog Management, • Lead social media and blog content strategy for Residential owned channels., • Drive content ideation, story mining, and development aligned to campaign guidelines and approved claims., • Partner with Creative Services and external agencies to produce high-quality content., • Manage the end-to-end editorial workflow for the Residential blog, from SEO strategy through publishing and content retirement.Engagement, Reporting & Optimization, • Collaborate with the COE to manage reactive and proactive social media engagement and escalation., • Ensure social care response documentation remains current for Residential topics., • Analyze earned media, social, and blog performance using dashboards and reports to identify opportunities for improvement.Customer & Stakeholder Support, • Provide External Communications guidance, templates, and collaboration support to top-tier Residential customers., • Help amplify customer success stories and community impact initiatives.Skills & QualificationsRequired Skills, • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, • 5+ years of experience in external communications, marketing communications, or related roles, • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to manage content through approval workflows, • Proven project management and organizational skills, • Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform decisions and optimize performancePreferred Skills, • Media relations experience with demonstrated success securing coverage, • Social media platform expertise and community management experience, • Knowledge of blog/SEO best practices and content marketing platformsAdditional Qualifications, • Confident communicator across multiple stakeholder levels, • Ability to drive consensus in a cross-functional environment, • Willingness to challenge the status quo and identify new opportunities, • Ability to travel as neededClient DescriptionLeading roofing manufacturer in North America offering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
