Job Description Job Description – Payroll Customer Support Representative Client: A leading Swoon client in the healthcare/hospital system industry Location: Onsite – New York, NY Duration: Contract (April 20, 2026 – June 13, 2026) 2 months Pay Rate: $20 Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week) Position Overview Our client, a leader in the healthcare and hospital system industry, is seeking a Payroll Customer Support Representative to join their team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for supporting employees by handling payroll-related inquiries via phone, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of issues related to pay, deductions, and payroll processes. This is a customer-facing payroll role within a call center-style environment. Key Responsibilities • Handle a high volume of inbound calls related to payroll inquiries, • Assist employees with questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and discrepancies, • Investigate and resolve payroll issues efficiently and professionally, • Document all interactions and maintain accurate case records, • Escalate complex payroll issues to internal payroll or HR teams, • Provide clear, empathetic, and professional customer service, • Navigate multiple systems to track and resolve employee inquiries ✅ Required Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of call center experience (high-volume environment preferred), • Minimum 1 year of payroll experience, specifically supporting employee inquiries, • Experience handling payroll-related questions over the phone, • Strong communication and active listening skills, • Excellent problem-solving abilities, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone-based environment, • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems ⭐ Preferred Qualifications • Experience in payroll support, HR shared services, or employee service centers, • Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Workday, Ceridian, etc.), • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Additional Details • Fully onsite role in New York, NY, • Short-term contract with potential for extension, • Immediate availability preferred Why Join • Opportunity to support a large-scale healthcare organization making a real impact, • Gain hands-on experience in payroll operations within a high-impact environment, • Work in a collaborative team focused on employee experience
