Job DescriptionBenefits: • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Training & development, • Vision insurance The CNC Programmer will provide programming, planning, and machining expertise in support of the Manufacturing Department and client requests. Essential Functions: • Plans machining activities by analyzing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), • Develops CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-5 axis mills and multi axis Lathes based on engineering drawings and models, • Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs, • Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices, • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes, • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, • Creates set-up sheets for all programs generated, • Assists engineering in prototyping by quickly and accurately proving out programs for their designs and notifying them of any design flaws or machine constraints, • Sequence automatic machine operations and select cutting tools, • Follow all safety guidelines as outlined in the company safety manual, • Determines proper Tooling and design fixtures/work holding components for machining on mills, and lathes, • Follow all safety guidelines as outlined in the company safety manualSkills/Qualifications:, • High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or certification in related field preferred, • 3 5 years CNC Programming experience in a manufacturing environment, • 3 5 years operating, troubleshooting, and set-up experience, • Experience with Mastercam or equivalent as well as fixture / tool design software, • Proficient understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming, • Ability to read and comprehend a variety of instructions and standard operating procedures, • Detailed knowledge of precision measuring equipment and the application of such instruments including but not limited to calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges and indicators
