Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Hackensack, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CT Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 03/30/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, evenings, • Perform complex CT procedures with precision.\n, • Utilize professional judgment to assess and obtain patients' clinical histories for procedures, ensuring documentation is correctly managed and integrated into the PACS system.\n, • Prepare, screen, and review the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with patients and/or their family members, ensuring it is documented in EPIC.\n, • Identify and/or administer contrast media for CT exams as directed by a licensed practitioner.\n, • Review patient prescriptions to confirm the appropriateness of exams; if discrepancies arise, communicate with the Radiologist and Referring Physician to obtain additional information or a new prescription.\n, • Clarify prescriptions with physicians in adherence to the appropriate CT protocols.\n, • Verify insurance authorization for exams and submit any necessary modification forms to the Finance department for re-verification.\n, • Obtain outside studies (CD) and schedule them in EPIC to ensure availability in PACS for comparison by Radiologists.\n, • Provide exam copies to patients and their requesting physicians or family members.\n, • Evaluate radiographs using the PACS System to ensure they contain proper identification and are of diagnostic quality.\n, • Consistently gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers to prepare protocols focusing on scanning and patient safety.\n, • Assess patient preparation for procedures.\n, • Prepare patients for scanning using appropriate methods (e.g., shielding, immobilization devices).\n, • Determine suitable types and doses of contrast to be administered.\n, • Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients, ensuring they understand all aspects of the procedure, and document any questions or concerns.\n, • Perform venipuncture, maintain IV patency, and execute related procedures following established guidelines.\n, • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during procedures.\n, • Adhere to scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, contributing to continuous patient care as needed.\n, • Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours daily.\n, • Identify the needs of diverse patient populations and modify care delivery accordingly, ensuring effective communication at an accessible level.\n, • Follow organizational competencies and standards of behavior established by the Medical Center.\n\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\n, • In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as radiological positioning of the human body.\n, • Understanding of the mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware.\n, • Thorough expertise in using PACS systems.\n, • Maintain continuing education credits.\n, • Achieve ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.\n, • Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire.\n\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\n\n, • Six months of prior CT experience is preferred.\n, • Familiarity with Epic and any HIS/RIS systems implemented by the facility.\n\n\nEducation\n\n, • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.\n, • High School diploma or equivalent required.\n\n\nRequired Certifications & Licensure\n\n, • New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Diagnostic Radiography License.\n, • ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.\n, • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.\n\n\nPreferred Certifications & Licensure\n\n, • Vision benefits, • Life insurance, • Weekly pay, • License and certification reimbursement, • Guaranteed Hours, • Referral bonus, • Medical benefits, • Dental benefits
