Russell Tobin's client, a multinational retail company, is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Port Washington, NY. Title: Customer Service Representative Job Type: Temp to perm Pay Rate: • English: $17.50/hr, • French Speaking: $20.00/hr Location: Port Washington, NY (remote) Position Overview: We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a wholesale customer service team. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle high call volumes, and solid computer navigation abilities. Candidates with technical troubleshooting experience or IT/help desk backgrounds are highly preferred. This is a temporary remote role, however candidates must be able to travel to the Port Washington office if required in the future. Key Responsibilities • Answer inbound calls and process customer orders, • Troubleshoot customer issues and determine the best resolution, • Resolve complaints while maintaining professionalism, • Document customer interactions accurately, • Track call types and maintain service level standards, • Follow up with customers regarding:, • Order status, • Shipping updates, • Stock availability, • Handle inbound calls for up to 90% of the work shift, • Perform additional duties as assigned Basic Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent, • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center, hospitality, or retail), • Strong telephone etiquette and professional communication skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication, • Strong listening and comprehension skills, • Ability to stay composed in difficult customer situations, • Good time management and prioritization skills, • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, • Ability to navigate multiple systems and internet tools Preferred Qualifications • Higher education degree, • Experience using SAP, • Experience in the optical industry, • Knowledge of optical products and industry terminology, • Bilingual French Additional Requirements • Must complete an internet speed test at: ___ Equipment Pick-Up Selected candidates will complete two equipment pick-ups at the Port Washington office: • Before training – receive temporary equipment, • After one week of training – exchange for permanent equipment and attend in-person orientation/training Important Note Candidates who live more than one hour commuting distance from the Port Washington office will not be considered, as occasional onsite visits may be required. The Opportunity As an Ob Hospitalist Group Clinic and On-Call OB/GYN, you will care for the assigned obstetrics and gynecology patients who visit women’s clinics within or connected to our partner hospitals and may also oversee a Certified-Nurse Midwife and/or Nurse Practitioner.
