Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or relevant field, • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, • 2-10 years of experience in a supervisory capacity, • Previous experience in the connector or wire and cable industry (preferred) Knowledge • Proficient in MS Office, • Understanding of MRP systems and best practices, • Ability to read drawings, specifications, test procedures, etc. Skills • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills (technical and nontechnical concepts), • Excellent leadership skills, • Excellent organizational skills, • Results-oriented with analytical skills, • Ability to work effectively under stressful and dynamic environments, • Ability to motivate team members in a creative and effective manner Job Responsibilities Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, planning, capacity, logistics and process improvement. • Oversee operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision, such as managing capacity and SIOP-initiative tasks., • Manage day-to-day business of the operations department, including production control, supply chain, production, and logistics., • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay., • Play a significant role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and implementing change control processes., • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly priorities for operations based on inputs from shipment goals, customer PO status, WO status, supplier PO status, capacity, AP, AR, etc., • Manage the movement of goods into and out of production to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of operations., • Attend events, fairs, and exhibitions to keep abreast of the market's trends., • Direct or coordinate financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency., • Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement. Supply Chain & Procurement: Oversee vendor management, sourcing, purchasing, inventory, pricing and logistics. • Monitor suppliers to ensure the efficient and effective supply of needed goods or services within budgetary limits and timelines., • Analyze vendor lead times, quality, throughput, yield, etc. as necessary., • Assess requirements for second sourcing and lead second sourcing initiatives., • Analyze and plan inventory requirements for firmed and unfirmed demand utilizing MRP system data and additional tools., • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories., • Execute on purchase inquiries, placement, and monitoring as necessary., • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts as necessary., • Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers as necessary., • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices as necessary., • Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers as necessary., • Confer with vendors to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays., • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules as necessary., • Maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands., • Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine materials requirements or material priorities., • Strategize for opportunities to increase supply chain capacity and throughput., • Assist in the setting of prices or credit terms for goods or services based on forecasts of customer demand., • Monitor stock levels. Risk Management & Compliance: Analyze risk, ensure regulatory compliance and issue resolution when needed. • Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks and provide strategic solutions., • Raise and track issues and conflicts, remove barriers, resolve issues involving stakeholders and escalate to appropriate level when required., • Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations. Environmental Health & Safety: Develop and complete safety audits, trainings, emergency response plans, and monitor EHS performance. • Monitor and enforce compliance with all applicable environmental health and safety regulations at the local, state, and federal levels., • Identify potential hazards within the workplace, conduct risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks., • Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels., • Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and injuries to identify root causes and implement corrective actions., • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues., • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including employee training on emergency procedures and response protocols., • Create and maintain EHS policies and procedures aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements., • Track safety performance metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and generate reports for management on EHS performance., • Communicate EHS policies and procedures effectively to employees at all levels, collaborating with departments to promote a strong safety culture., • Oversee EHS compliance for contractors and vendors working on-site (when applicable). Leadership & Team Development: Train, coach and manage the performance of the team and culture. • Train, coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members., • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment., • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement and suggest corrective actions as needed. Any additional tasks necessary to execute on the team's strategy for operational sustainability, improvement, and optimization. Internal and External Relationships This position interacts with all internal departments (business development/sales, account management, production control, supply chain, production, logistics, inventory control, quality, finance and human resources). Externally, this position interacts with customers and suppliers.
