The Senior Director of Workforce Planning & Analytics plays a critical role in bringing that spirit to life. This leader will shape how we deploy one of our most important assets: our people (aka our VEGgies). You will build and refine the labor models that power our hospitals, deliver the reporting and insights our leaders rely on, and drive the automation that helps our teams stay focused on helping people & their pets. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you'll oversee workforce planning, labor forecasting, field reporting, and scheduling automation across VEG's multi-unit footprint. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Lead and refine VEG's labor model, driving forecasting, budgeting, staffing ratios, and continuous optimization., • Own scheduling automation for our hospital teams, accelerating adoption of the auto-scheduler, partnering closely on Legion configuration, and building the roadmap for monthly doctor scheduling automation., • Oversee enterprise reporting for Operations, including WBR/MBR packages, KPI tableau reporting, and other field-facing reporting that drives clarity, alignment, and action., • Guide the roadmap for VEG's workforce planning systems, including data mining, dataset integrations, and improving the accessibility and usability of labor and operational data., • Lead and develop a high-performing workforce planning and reporting team, setting clear priorities, coaching analysts/managers, and building a culture of ownership and continuous learning., • Partner cross-functionally with Ops, HR, Finance, and hospital leaders to ensure workforce plans are understood, adopted, and continuously improved. WHAT YOU NEED • 5–10 years of workforce planning, analytics, operations, or related leadership experience in a multi-unit or field-based organization., • Expertise in workforce analytics, including labor modeling, forecasting, budgeting, staffing ratios, labor cost models, and FTE vs headcount planning., • Experience with scheduling systems (Legion strongly preferred)., • Proficiency with data tools such as Tableau, Looker, Excel/Google Sheets, SQL-adjacent querying, or similar.
