EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent, • Previous related experiences in general janitorial duties, such as cleaning, repairing and painting., • Ability to read and write in order to follow written work schedules and keep inventory., • Friendly and cheerful personality to maintain cooperative interactions with staff, families and children, • Ability to maintain personal work and habits., • Good health- including annual physical., • Clearance through DOI Fingerprint Screening, NYS Central Registry, Sex Offender Registry clearance, 3 reference checks, physical examination with updated TB test, varicella, Tdap, MMR (fees may apply) Under the direct supervision of the Center Director, the Custodian shall be responsible for: • Cleaning: Responsible for sweeping, mopping, waxing all floors on site. Ensuring rest rooms and all spaces on site are free of debris, dust, and dirt as well as maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the day. This includes removing and cleaning garbage bins, washing walls and surfaces, cleaning fixtures, toilets and washbowls., • Records, Supplies and Equipment: Responsible for maintenance of Infection Control Logs, playground safety logs, carbon monoxide/smoke alarm and fire panel logs and all necessary logs to remain in compliance with DOH Article 47. Keeping inventory of distributed sanitary supplies and requesting more when needed; Repairing peeling paint, play equipment, furniture and other repairs on site as needed; Assisting in moving heavy items throughout the site. Ordering all necessary supplies for the site and keeping an inventory log., • Daily maintenance of site health and safety: Responsible for immediately repairing hazardous conditions on site, such as within the classroom and/or playground, replacing lights; contacting New York City Housing Authority, or management if needed depending on location. Report to the Center Director of any necessary repairs and conditions. Job Description Avarga is hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead building envelope and exterior restoration projects across the NYC metro area. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role for a PM who shows up early, communicates constantly, and takes full responsibility for results. You will be given clear authority, practical systems, and direct access to ownership so you can focus on running the work — not chasing information or cleaning up avoidable mistakes. Compensation • Starting salary: $100,000/year, with a 90-day performance review and the opportunity for a compensation increase based on achievement of defined goals and performance metrics.
