For more than 25 years, Simone Healthcare Development has been designing, building, financing and managing successful medical office and healthcare facilities for some of the New York Metropolitan Area’s largest and most prestigious hospitals and medical practices. Simone specializes in creating custom-designed leading edge healthcare facilities including Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Cancer Treatment Centers, Radiology Centers, Urgent Care Centers and Medical Specialty Offices. We are seeking a Director of Real Estate Operations to lead and strengthen the company’s operational and systems infrastructure. This individual will oversee operations, administrative functions, vendor management, office facilities, and technology systems. This role ensures that processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The Director will collaborate across teams to improve efficiencies, manage reporting, streamline workflows, and maintain accurate financial and operational controls. Duties/Responsibilities: • Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts to identify opportunities for savings and operational improvement., • Manage office operations, workplace logistics, equipment, supplies, and administrative workflows., • Oversee property-level operations systems to ensure consistent standards across the portfolios., • Supervise administrative and operational staff, providing structure, oversight, and accountability., • Ensure compliance with real estate regulatory requirements, insurance policies, and licensing obligations., • Develop and refine company-wide SOPs, workflows, and operational best practices. Technology & Systems Management • Oversee internal technology tools, including property management platforms, accounting systems, and communication tools, • Partner with leadership to evaluate and implement new systems that improve productivity and accuracy., • Ensure cybersecurity measures, data integrity, and system access controls are consistently maintained., • Support digital transformation initiatives such as reporting dashboards, system upgrades, and workflow automation., • Oversee the Yardi property management system in collaboration with the Enterprise Application Manager to ensure optimal performance and utilization, • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Yardi database structure, application integration, and YardiOne platform, • Provide ongoing application support, resolving issues and responding to user queries, • Deliver training and development to end-users to improve Yardi proficiency, • Assist in implementing new Yardi modules, ensuring alignment with business needs and enhanced renter experience, • Coordinate with real estate application vendors to ensure seamless system integration, • Collaborate with departments to identify and implement software changes that improve business processes, • Optimize Yardi system operations, minimizing downtime and efficiently handling updates or upgrades, • Monitor outcomes such as reduced user errors, positive feedback, and decreased repetitive support requests, • Continuously identify and implement process improvements related to Yardi, increasing efficiency and user satisfaction Business Strategy & Cross-Department Leadership • Partner with leadership to align operational and financial priorities with company objectives., • Develop KPIs and standardized reporting across operations, finance, and administration., • Lead cross-functional initiatives such as system migrations, compliance updates, financial reviews, and internal restructuring., • Support continuous improvement efforts, identifying gaps and implementing sustainable solutions. Additional Comments on Knowledge, Education, and Experience • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred., • 8–10 years of experience in operations, finance, or real estate management roles., • Experience leading teams and managing organizational systems at scale., • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting., • Proficiency with accounting, business intelligence, and property management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, Excel)., • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional projects, and implement operational improvements. Additional Comments on Working Environment • Ability to perform routine office tasks that includes operating a computer for long periods of time, sitting, filing and communicating on the phone, • Must be comfortable with a Combination of office and active jobsite environments., • Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs/ladders as required,, • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull a maximum of 30 lbs.
