American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Electrophysiology Lab for a travel nursing job in Brooklyn, New York. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/06/2026, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 6, 2026, • Length: 8 weeks, • Mixed procedural unit supporting Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR), with a shared prep and recovery area, • Patient population consists of adult patients with arrhythmias, • Average daily census of 7 patients across 2 procedure rooms and 12 beds, • Day shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, • Schedule: 3×12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM (no rotating shifts), • Weekends and on-call not required, • Floating required to Cath Prep/Recovery, • Documentation via Epic; Omnicell used for medication managementRequirements, • Active NY RN license required, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, • Minimum 2 years of EP Lab or Cath Lab RN experience required, • Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required, • Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management required, • Experience with sheath removal, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), and topical hemostasis agents (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch) required, • IV therapy skills required, including blood product administration, PICC line care, implanted port care, and IV infusion pumps, • Competency with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents required, • Epic documentation experience required, • COVID vaccination required — no exceptions, • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for considerationAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure care, circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring, • Additional skills utilized include ACT monitoring, cardioversion, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale (RASS) assessment, and pressure ulcer prevention, • Orientation is 11.5 hours, • Scrubs are provided, • Cath Lab training is preferred; teaching hospital and community hospital experience are also preferred, • Previous charge nurse experience preferred, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Local candidates are accepted, • RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer; no RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment, • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
