Tyler is renowned for its vibrant rose gardens and welcoming neighborhoods, making it an ideal location for travel nurses seeking rewarding healthcare jobs in Texas.\n \n\nNICU RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Tyler, TX 75701 (East Texas)\n, • Assignment Type: Travel Nursing\n, • Unit: Level III NICU (9 beds, expanding to 16 beds)\n, • Start Date: November 17, 2025\n, • End Date: February 16, 2026\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:00 - 18:00)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570 - $1610\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:3\n, • Orientation: 36 hours onsite (28 hours direct clinical orientation + 8 hours general onboarding)\n, • Self-scheduling available\n, • Weekend Shifts: 12 per 12-week contract (6 per 6-week schedule)\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience in a hospital setting\n, • Previous travel nursing experience required\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)\n, • BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE certification preferred\n, • Proficiency with Epic charting system\n, • Community hospital experience required\n, • Ability to manage a 1:3 patient ratio in a Level III NICU\n, • Must not reside in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties in Texas\n\n\nNICU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to neonates and infants in a Level III NICU\n, • Manage arterial lines, central line blood draws, and central/implanted line care\n, • Administer feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) and IV vasopressors\n, • Monitor and manage ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), UAC/UVC lines, and isolation precautions\n, • Care for neonates with diagnoses such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, failure to thrive, neonatal abstinence, and meconium aspiration syndrome\n, • Float to Well Baby unit as needed\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and lactation consultants\n We believe in empowering your career.
