Job Description New CDL-A drivers based near Springfield entering this regional fleet typically run between 2,200 and 2,500 miles per week after completing the training program, with home time every two weeks while hauling dry van freight across a consistent Midwest freight network. Drivers in the Springfield area operate through established regional lanes serving Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin with steady freight demand supported by long-term shipper partnerships. This account operates primarily within a 500 mile radius of Chicago and provides reliable miles for new CDL-A drivers beginning their driving careers. Driver Pay • $0.56–$0.64 CPM once drivers complete the training program, • Average weekly earnings between $1,500 and $1,600, • Driver performance bonus program available, • Dry van freight operating throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, • 100% no-touch freight, • Combination of drop and hook freight, live loads, and live unload deliveries, • Freight lanes run within a 500 mile radius of Chicago, • Home every two weeks, • Consistent regional Midwest routes, • This position is open to drivers who recently obtained their CDL and need over-the-road experience., • Valid Class A CDL required, • Minimum 120 hours completed at an accredited CDL training school, • 3–5 week paid training program with an experienced company mentor, • Training includes safety procedures, ELD usage, trip planning, and company operations, • Late-model Freightliner and Kenworth tractors, • Automatic and 10-speed transmissions, • Average tractor age approximately 1.5 years, • Assigned trucks once drivers move to solo status, • Benefits begin after 30 days, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) retirement plan, • Paid time off, • $300 paid orientation paid on first paycheck, • Must be at least 21 years old, • Valid Class A CDL required, • Minimum 6 month of recent TT experience, • Must have held a valid U.S. driver's license for at least 12 consecutive months, • Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening hair and urine We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
