Job Description Damage Assessors (Emergency Response) Atlas Field Services is seeking experienced and dedicated Damage Assessors to support emergency storm response activities for utility infrastructure across the service territory. Damage Assessors will be responsible for performing rapid field assessments of electrical infrastructure following major weather events or system disruptions. This role requires availability during emergencies, swift mobilization, and strong attention to safety, detail, and professionalism. This is a short term contract assignment. This is an onsite paid internship based in Rye, New York. This 10-week program will commence on May 26, 2026 and conclude on August 6, 2026. Interns are assigned a mentor who will provide guidance throughout the duration of their internship. Interns will be encouraged to learn as much as possible about Acadia and how all of the various departments inter-relate during their experience with us. The intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in Leasing matters from the landlord side of commercial real estate. INTERNS WILL BE EXPOSED TO & PROVIDE SUPPORT IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: • Assist in all phases of tenant accounts, billing and collections., • Preparation and billing of periodic Common Area Maintenance (CAM), Real Estate Tax (RET) and Insurance (INS) reconciliations., • Regular monitoring of tenant accounts, including tenant contact information and account status., • Communicating between departments in regards to possible resolution of tenant disputes., • Daily application of payments from the tenant Lock Box, bank deposits and wire transfers., • Process rent increase letters and monthly statements., • Assist in creating, renewing, vacating and expiring leases in our financial database (MRI)., • Be a liaison between tenant and landlord as well as an inter-departmental conduit between acquisition, development, legal, leasing, construction, accounting and property management teams., • Assist in handling all building and tenant improvements and the required lease documentation., • Must be enrolled in a college degree program at an Accredited Institution, business or communication a plus, • Must have completed junior year of college, • Must be able to work onsite in Rye, NY, • Ability to work 40 hours per week, • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above, • Highly Self-motivated, • Ability to prioritize challenging work schedule/multi-task, • Strong written and verbal communications skills Acadia’s internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of commercial real estate, supported by a robust structure designed to foster both professional and personal growth. Job Summary: The position is responsible for administering various aspects of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, including re-certifications, admissions, transfers, and terminations. This role supports Affordable Housing initiatives by ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and agency policies through accurate documentation, participant communication, and data management. Key Responsibilities: * Complete annual and interim re-certifications, new admissions, transfers, port-ins/port-outs, special program referrals (as assigned), terminations, and rent adjustments for HCV Program participants. * Notify participants and property owners of changes and outcomes related to interim re-certifications. * Collect and verify required documentation such as income and household information to determine continued program eligibility. * Schedule and conduct re-certification appointments and interviews with participants. * Track and monitor participant relocations, lease terminations, and other housing transitions. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the appropriate databases. * Conduct participant briefings to explain HUD regulations and agency administrative plans. * Prepare and submit timely and accurate weekly and program-related reports. Qualifications * Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience working with economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and families. * Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. * Proficiency in basic mathematics. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication abilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Ability to effectively perform job responsibilities in a remote work environment, as needed. * Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic and evolving work setting. * Proven ability to meet productivity targets and maintain accuracy in all tasks. * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
