Job DescriptionElectrician (Prevailing Wage Project) – Stamford, CT Location: Stamford, Connecticut Job Type: Full-Time (Project-Based / Contract) Compensation: Prevailing Wage (Based on Connecticut Department of Labor rates) + Fringe Benefits Job Overview We are seeking experienced and reliable Electricians to join our team for a prevailing wage project in Stamford, CT. This role involves performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial and/or public works projects in accordance with state and local regulations. Candidates must have a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on deadline-driven projects. Key Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial or municipal environments, • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, • Run conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC), pull wire, and install panels, lighting, and switchgear, • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems, • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes, • Adhere to all prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll procedures, • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards, • Work collaboratively with project managers, foremen, and other trades on siteRequirements, • Valid Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical License (required), • 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred, • Experience working on prevailing wage/public works projects is a plus, • Strong knowledge of NEC and local building codes, • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents, • Reliable transportation to job site in Stamford, CT, • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred), • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts as needed Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
