Job Description H&H is hiring a mid-level CADD Highway/Roadway/Stormwater Designer to join our New York, NY office. The CADD Designer will work closely with CADD Manager, Project Managers, Engineers and others to support project teams throughout the company on proposals, planning, and design tasks. Responsibilities • Collaborate with engineers and the design team to advance and complete a variety of project types, including roadway, bridge, and drainage, • With limited supervision, produce 2D and 3D models and drafting of civil transportation plans using the latest version of either Microstation or AutoCAD drafting software in accordance with company and client standards, • Develop highway and roadway infrastructure projects with plans, profiles, superelevation transitions, and cross sections, • Produce conceptual and final construction design plans for utilities, grading, and stormwater, • Use 3D modeling for roadways, drainage, and grading designs, • Coordinate with complimentary disciplines at a project level which may include members of the structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural team, • Support design services during construction activities, • Produce models for calculating construction quantity takeoffs and creating spreadsheets that summarize estimated quantities, • Assist junior engineers and professionals., • Five+ years of experience as a civil designer or CADD operator, • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred), • High school graduate, technical degree in BIM/CAD software (preferred), • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads / GeoPAK, and OpenRoads Designer, • Experience in various infrastructure project types: Drainage, Roadway, Utilities, • Experience developing and supporting engineering drawings, • Experience with file conversion and file management between multiple digital environments, • Familiar with or able to become familiar with the following guidelines/standards: AASHTO Highway Design Guide, NYSDOT Highway Design Manual, NYSDOT Bridge Design Manual, MUTCD, NYCDOT standards, NYCDEP standards and other related standards, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and prioritize tasks in a logical order Salary range — $65,000-$75,000 annually. Role Overview: The Project Development Lead is responsible for the development of utility-scale renewable energy-powered generation projects from the project identification stage through financial closing and start of construction. This role will be focused on EDPR’s New York portfolio of early to late-stage development projects including wind farms, solar parks, battery storage facilities and repowering of our existing wind energy fleet. Project Manager will be primarily responsible for independently managing the Lead Service Line Replacement Program (LSLRP), along with other small and mid-size Capital projects. Project total capex budget can range from $5M per year up to $10M per year. Responsibilities will include capital project delivery from inception to completion, including preliminary conceptual development, detailed engineering design with support of external engineering consultants; construction cost estimation, procurement, construction administration, supervision and inspection, startup and commissioning, and project closeout documentation delivery, including as-built plans, O&M manuals, and SOPs. Project Manager will mainly manage the Lead Service Line Replacement Program and assist operations for the Hackensack system and/or T&D department and other departments. Project Manager will be responsible for managing the Lead Steering Committee including development of and leading the monthly Lead Steering Committee meetings.
