The company helps customers access transparent credit, shop in installments, pay bills, access loans, and participate in a broader financial ecosystem. The company is operating at meaningful scale, backed by leading fintech and venture investors, and built around a lean, fast-moving, high-ownership culture. The Role The company is hiring a Founding Principal Recruiter to own hands-on recruiting across the organization. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who wants to personally recruit, not manage a team or operate only at the strategy level. The Founding Principal Recruiter will directly source candidates, build pipelines, run searches, manage interview processes, partner with hiring managers, and close candidates across GTM, PDE, G&A, Operations, Finance, People, and leadership roles. The company needs a builder-operator who can help create recruiting infrastructure while actively filling roles every day. This person should be equally comfortable advising founders on hiring strategy and personally sending outreach, screening candidates, managing funnels, and closing offers. Responsibilities • Own full-cycle recruiting across GTM, PDE, G&A, Operations, Finance, People, and leadership hiring., • Personally source, engage, evaluate, manage, and close candidates., • Run searches end to end, from intake and calibration through offer acceptance., • Build high-quality candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs., • Partner directly with the CEO, CTO, Chief of Staff, VP of Operations, and functional leaders on hiring priorities and role definition., • Manage interview processes, candidate communication, debriefs, feedback loops, and offer processes., • Help build practical recruiting infrastructure, including intake processes, sourcing strategy, interview plans, scorecards, reporting, and candidate experience., • Use funnel data and market feedback to improve hiring speed, quality, and consistency., • Help reduce reliance on external agencies by building stronger internal sourcing and referral channels., • Represent the company clearly and credibly with candidates.Ideal Profile, • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience, ideally in high-growth technology, fintech, consumer, marketplace, or product-led companies., • Strong hands-on, full-cycle recruiting experience across multiple functions, including GTM, product, design, engineering, operations, and corporate roles., • Proven ability to personally own searches from intake through offer acceptance., • Strong sourcing, candidate engagement, assessment, process management, and closing ability., • Experience recruiting in early-stage or growth-stage environments where recruiters are expected to execute directly., • Ability to partner directly with founders, executives, and demanding hiring managers., • Comfort operating in a lean, ambiguous, fast-moving environment., • Strong judgment, structured thinking, and clear communication., • Low-ego, high-ownership operating style., • Comfort working in a high-context, in-person environment with four days per week onsite in Manhattan.Nice to Have, • Experience in fintech, lending, credit, payments, risk, consumer finance, or Latin America-focused businesses., • Experience recruiting for engineering, data, risk, product, operations, GTM, and leadership roles., • Experience with Ashby or similar modern ATS platforms., • Experience helping build recruiting process, reporting, interview structure, or candidate experience from an early stage., • Spanish language ability or familiarity with Mexico or Latin America talent markets.
