Your Responsibilities as a Locator: * Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. * Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate. These are daytime, full-time positions. We have a 48-hour turnaround time on many locates, which means we generally work the day after holidays and some weekends, as needed. Must be able to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends), dependent upon the needs of the business. The individual may also inspect storm sewer systems and roadway construction. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field. They will provide construction observation and project management services for municipal and county agencies. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Perform constructability and plan reviews prior to construction. Interact with the design engineer with input before the project goes out to bid., • Perform construction management services for projects that consist of water supply and sanitary distribution systems. Ensure the job site is maintained in a safe, neat, and orderly fashion by the contractor., • Provide inspection of contractors work to ensure that the work is being performed as per plans and specifications and regulatory requirements.
