We Make It Work. Job Description The Welder reports to the Yard Manager and assists the Branch Operations Manager. The Welder is responsible for their specifically assigned, hands on tasks ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the work performed and ensuring that safety and quality standards are upheld and maintained within the yard (including the reconditioning and/or welding area and the warehouse). Welder Responsibilities • Able to read and understand fabrication drawings., • Consistently operates tools and equipment in a safe manner., • Maintains a valid welding certification., • Ensures equipment is properly placed and returned to its proper storage location., • Assists in maintaining an organized and efficient yard., • Work productively as a member of the team, • Takes responsibility in the proper use, maintenance and safety of all tools and equipment., • Complies with Doka Standards regarding quality, safety, accuracy, productivity, etc., • Participates in all physical stock taking to ensure inventory and maintains daily interaction with yard staff, truck drivers and management., • Consistently uses approved safety equipment (PPE)., • Asks questions and ensures continually training in product knowledge., • Ensure proper disposal of all damaged/scrap material in accordance with company policies and procedures., • Complies with company cleanliness and housekeeping standards., • Safely performs pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks to upwards of 100lbs or more only with the proper use of the appropriate equipment provided., • Maintain current welding certification at all times., • Properly wears all required personal protective equipment, • Immediately reports all incidents, accidents, unsafe work conditions, problems or concerns to the immediate supervisor., • Willingly participates in all mandatory training classes., • Safely operates forklift., • Consistently maintains a clean, well-maintained and organized work area., • Consistently complies with all safety requirements, • Flexible to work overtime as required., • Other duties/projects as assigned; including participating in company committees/teams., • Complies with all company policies, business and safety practices.Qualifications Qualifications/Technical Proficiency • Possesses valid welding certification., • High school graduate., • Previous experience in a construction or building materials yard a plus., • Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing)., • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills., • Willing and able to learn new products, concepts and techniques. Working conditions will significantly vary (extreme outdoor temperatures/inclement weather conditions), high noise level in certain areas. These positions are physically demanding on a routine basis. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms: climb or balance and stoop: kneel and/or crouch. The hourly rate for this position is $32.23/hr. This range represents the base pay for the position and does not include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or other forms of compensation. Job DescriptionTHIS IS A FRANCHISE POSITION DESCRIPTION: Papa John’s Assistant Managers assist in managing all functions of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure that high quality products and service are delivered to our customers. This is accomplished by being a team-oriented leader, making quality decisions, and instilling pride and accountability in team members. Responsibilities include the management of operations, including the execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Demonstrate exemplary operations skills in all aspects of the restaurant including making quality products for our customers and ensuring each delivered product meets Papa John’s standards and accurately reflects the customer’s order. Professionally and promptly respond to all customer concerns or issues., • Supervise a restaurant team, actively recruit customer-focused team members, maintain adequate staffing levels according to projected sales, properly orient and train team members to exceed customer expectations, ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards, coach for improved performance, and communicate employment action up to and including termination., • Contribute to sales goals by providing excellent customer service, team member product training, executing marketing plans, suggestively selling to increase the check average when taking an order, and creating a positive presence in the community., • Ensure food, labor, and other controllable costs stay within budget by accurately utilizing Company policies, procedures and systems. Execute cash management duties. Plan and manage adequate inventory levels to meet sales demands and minimize loss., • Ensuring the restaurant is clean, safe, fully equipped and all equipment operates properly, ensure restaurant meets safety and security standards and procedures at all times., • Pre-delivery vehicle preparation, learning the delivery area, checking orders for quality and accuracy, following proper delivery procedures,, • Perform other assigned workstation duties including taking phone orders, making quality products by working the pizza cutting station and the pizza topping station, distributing door hangers., • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler., • Provide a high level of customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers in person or by phone and acting with a sense of urgency in everything they do., • Accurately use the POS System, process cash, check and/or credit card transactions., • Work as part of a team and assist other team members by being on time for their shift; supporting other workstations during their shift, including cleaning, for example sweeping mopping wiping counters; and completing all opening, shift change, and closing duties, including shift cleaning., • Maintaining organized, safe, and clean work areas; comply with safety and security standards and procedures at all times., • Comply with uniform and appearance standards., • Complete all training modules that relate to this position., • Comply with Team Member Handbook, and with federal, state and local laws and ordinances.
