This role helpsmaintaina safe, nurturing, and developmentallyappropriate learningenvironment while staff absences are covered. This position is PRN and flexible, with scheduling thatvariesweek to week based on school needs and support teacheravailability. It is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work under 30 hours per week, including those with other work or school commitmentsincludingcollege students in ourcollege towncommunity. Responsibilities Classroom Support & Teaching • Assist Teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom routinesin accordance withthe Frog Street curriculum andBeacon Hill Schoolsbest practices, • Step into classrooms as needed tomaintaincontinuity of care during staff absencesas directed, • Engage children in hands-on, play-based learning experiences that promote creativity, exploration, and growth, • Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, • Support childrens cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through active participation in classroom activities, • Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and administration in a variety of classroom settings, • Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and colleagues, • Follow all DECAL state licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and Beacon Hill Schools policies, • Helpmaintaina clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment, • Support daily parent communication as directed by classroom staff Classroom Management & Compliance • Follow all DECAL state licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and Beacon Hill Schools policies, • Helpmaintaina clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment, • Support daily parent communication as directed by classroom staff Schedule & Employment Type • Average less than 30 hours per week, • Schedule varies based on staffing needs such as employee absences or coverage needs, • Substitutes are scheduled based on both availability and school demand, • No guaranteed weekly hours Qualifications • Interest in early childhood education and supporting young learners, • Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in multiple classrooms and age groups, • Warm, patient, and responsive to childrens needs, • Strong communicationand collaboration skills, • Previousexperience working with children preferred but notrequired Position Requirements • High school diploma or GEDrequired, • Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening, • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain), • Ability tolift upto 40lbsand engage physically with children throughout the day If you are excited about shaping young minds and making a difference in children's lives, we invite you to apply today at Beacon Hill Schools!
