Job Description TIG Welder Work Location: Aurora Illinois 60504 12+ Month Pay Rate Range: $34.50 -$38.00 per hrs. on W2 1st shift 6am-2pm M-F Job Summary We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to perform precision welding and fabrication of metal components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with TIG/GTAW welding, the ability to read blueprints and welding drawings, and strong attention to detail. The TIG Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while following established safety, quality, and production standards. Responsibilities • Perform TIG/GTAW welding on metal components and assemblies., • Weld materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other alloys as required., • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including selecting appropriate amperage, voltage, gas flow, and welding techniques., • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions., • Prepare, fit, align, and position parts prior to welding., • Select and use appropriate filler metals, shielding gases, and welding techniques., • Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, penetration, appearance, and defects., • Perform grinding, cleaning, finishing, and other post-weld activities as required., • Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges., • Maintain welding equipment and report equipment issues when necessary., • Follow established welding procedures, quality standards, and production requirements., • Maintain a clean and organized work area., • Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE., • Complete production and quality documentation accurately., • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines. Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred., • Previous experience as a TIG Welder / GTAW Welder., • Strong knowledge of TIG welding processes and techniques., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols., • Experience welding stainless steel and/or aluminum preferred., • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail., • Ability to use precision measuring tools., • Ability to troubleshoot basic welding and equipment issues., • Ability to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment., • Strong commitment to safety and quality.\nCompany Description Intellyk is a Joint Commission Certified global staff augmentation firm providing a wide-range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
