DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist press operators in setting up, adjusting, and maintaining printing presses to ensure optimal performance., • Load and unload paper, ink, and other materials onto the press, ensuring that stock is properly aligned and ready for printing., • Monitor print runs for quality, ensuring color consistency, proper alignment, and overall print quality. Report any issues to the press operator immediately., • Assist in mixing ink and maintaining proper ink levels for consistent color reproduction throughout production runs. Make the Road New Jersey (MRNJ) builds the power of immigrant and working class communities to achieve dignity and respect through community organizing, the provision of high quality legal and support services, transformative education and policy innovation. MRNJ is a project of Make the Road States. Founded in 2014, MRNJ operates centers and organizing hubs in Elizabeth, Passaic, Perth Amboy and Newark, NJ that reach thousands of immigrant and working class people of color each year. With over 15 years of court-based social service experience, NCS specializes in public-private partnerships which allow anchor institutions like the courts to respond to the community while simultaneously building public confidence in justice. A project of the Center for Justice Innovation, Newark Community Solutions builds on lessons learned from successful community courts and justice centers throughout the country, which have reduced local crime, improved compliance with sanctions, and strengthened the connections between courts and communities. Newark Community Solutions seeks a Case Manager as part of its Eviction Diversion Initiative. Reporting to the Project Director, the EDI Case Manager is responsible for identifying participants, completing screenings and assessments, developing housing/service plans, and delivering interventions through service applications and referrals for participants. This position will be co-located between the Newark Municipal Court and Newark City Hall as well as various community locations. From an operational spectrum it serves as the Finance and Human Resources Compliance Officers for the umbrella at large. Make the Road New Jersey (MRNJ) builds the power of immigrant and working class communities to achieve dignity and respect through community organizing, the provision of high quality legal and support services, transformative education and policy innovation. MRNJ is a project of Make the Road States. Founded in 2014, MRNJ operates centers and organizing hubs in Elizabeth, Passaic, Perth Amboy and Newark, NJ that reach thousands of immigrant and working class people of color each year. Our member-led organizing committees -- which work on the issues named above-- implement strategies to combat shared problems, and develop leadership and the capacity for civic participation. Current Opening: The Supervising Attorney will oversee Make the Road New Jersey’s immigration legal practice. Our team handles a wide range of immigration matters both affirmatively and defensively. The Supervising Attorney will supervise the team and provide legal support on immigration policy, organizing campaigns, and community education efforts.
