We specialize in high end architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, retail fixtures, and residential projects throughout New York. We are looking for someone with finishing experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail. We will pay for LIRR transportation for qualified candidates. Responsibilities • Sanding and preparing cabinets, doors, panels, and millwork for finish, • Applying stain, primer, paint, lacquer, polyurethane, and clear coats, • Mixing stains and color matching when needed, • Using spray equipment and maintaining spray guns properly, • Working with wood veneers, MDF, plywood, and hardwoods, • Touch ups, polishing, and final finish preparation, • Maintaining a clean and organized finishing area, • Following production schedules and quality standards Qualifications • Experience in cabinet finishing or woodworking finishing, • Knowledge of spray finishing techniques and materials, • Experience with ILVA products is a plus, • Ability to prep surfaces properly for high quality finishes, • Strong attention to detail, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Reliable and punctual, • Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Experience • Custom cabinetry or architectural millwork finishing, • Mixing stains and adjusting colors/sheens, • Using HVLP or air assisted spray systems, • Working in a professional woodshop environment
