As part of a fast-paced, agile team, you will help create a unique, state-of-the-art test facility from the ground up. Your mission will be to explore novel HV technologies at their limits and beyond, generating invaluable data and learnings needed to build the robust and reliable aircraft of tomorrow by safely testing the unsafe. If you have a burning desire to make an impact and want to work in a startup-like environment backed by the strength of Airbus, this is your opportunity to help us decarbonize the aerospace industry. • The Facility Project Manager (M/F) position is within Airbus UpNext Spain, in Getafe, starting ASAP, and it consists of a limited contract linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator - estimated completion date April 2028. *, • End to End Project Delivery: Lead the “Test Facility Design & Build” work package, managing the project from the initial build concept and design through to the execution of all civil works, site preparation and building construction., • Stakeholder & Site Management: Act as the primary interface with Airbus Site management and Facility Management functions and other Airbus divisions. You will diplomatically navigate and mitigate critical site-level risks, such as landplot availability and electrical power limitations to keep the project on track in competition with other planned Airbus initiatives., • Health, Safety & Environment Management : Lead all HSE aspects. You will be responsible for conducting safety risk assessments, defining and enforcing the operational safety plan, required training and qualifications and ensuring all suppliers and subcontractors rigorously adhere to required safety standards., • Permitting and Licensing: Manage the process of securing all necessary construction permits and operational licenses to ensure full compliance with local regulations interfacing with the applicable public administration bodies., • Infrastructure & Supplier Coordination : Oversee the installation of all major connections - electrical, cooling, water, safety loop, etc. • and the basic infrastructure for the Test Means. You will manage contracts and the performance of all external suppliers and contractors involved in the facility’s construction. • Facility Readiness & Test Mean Support : Delivering a building that is “Ready For Fit-out”. You will support the E2E Bench Manager by ensuring all facility provisions - e.G: foundations, power connections, cooling and structural interfaces, etc. • are delivered on time and to specification enabling and supporting the subsequent installation, commissioning and integration of the specialized Test Means and Systems Under Tests. • Proven experience overseeing industrial or technical facility construction projects, with direct knowledge of civil works, utility installation, building commissioning and operational safety., • Exceptional stakeholder management and diplomatic skills, with a demonstrated ability to build consensus and successfully navigate the internal processes and priorities of a large, multi-divisional industrial site., • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and the administrative processes required to secure construction permits and operational licenses., • Experience in managing performance of external suppliers and construction subcontractors., • Experience in managing the complex interfaces between building infrastructure - power, cooling, foundations - and the installation of specialized industrial or test equipment., • Eagerness to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working.
