About Us At Orbital Paradigm, we’re building autonomous space reentry capsules to enable routine, fast-return transport from orbit to Earth, supporting in-space manufacturing, science, and logistics. We’re looking for a Senior Avionics Engineer to design, build, and test the avionics systems of our spacecraft. You’ll own the architecture and development of our flight electronics, working closely with other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions. This role combines hands-on work, technical leadership, and the opportunity to shape a key part of our product. Your Responsibilities • Design and develop avionics systems from architecture to flight hardware, • Lead prototyping and testing of flight units (onboard computers, comms, GNC, payload control)., • Select and integrate components, ensuring system reliability and performance., • Develop electronics for signal processing, power, interfaces, and control systems., • Lead subsystem integration and avionics testing within the spacecraft., • Contribute to proposals, technical strategies, and system-level planning., • Guide and mentor the avionics team. Your Profile We’re looking for a professional with good avionics experience, ready to step up to a technical leadership position. • Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Aerospace, Industrial, Telecom, or similar)., • Ideally 5+ years of hands-on experience in avionics design and development., • Strong skills in electronic hardware, embedded systems, prototyping, and hardware/software integration., • Experience with avionics system architecture and spacecraft data-handling., • Comfortable with testing, validation, and integration of complex systems., • Fluent in English. Ideal experience • Familiarity with ECSS standards and systems engineering tools., • Experience in selecting and qualifying flight avionics., • Experience building electronics for space, • Previous experience in space startup in similar roles What We Offer • Location: Madrid, Spain, • Remote: Hybrid (+ 2 fully remote weeks/year), • Be part of a fast-growing space startup with real responsibilities., • 30 vacation days (23 flexible, +7 during holidays)., • Salary: 40'000-60'000 EUR/year depending on expertise., • Company shares depending on profile and experience, • Opportunities to grow with the company, • Permanent contract
