ABOUT THE ROLE If you are looking for a mission-critical role where you get to combine your client facing skills with data analysis and data modelling expertise driven by client business challenges, and you aim at being a key member of our Barcelona Office, Strands is waiting for you! We are seeking a Business Consultant with a strong Data Analytics and Data Science background to support the implementation, optimization, and strategic evolution of Strands' digital engagement products in the financial sector. This role is central to helping our clients unlock the full value of Strands' data-driven platforms—enabling them to deliver more personalized experiences, enhance digital engagement, and drive customer-centric strategies leveraging actionable insights. Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is required You will be doing things like... • Act as a strategic advisor for our clients, ensuring successful adoption of Strands' solution being an analytics-driven digital engagement platform, • Translate banking business needs into data-driven product configurations, analytical models, KPIs, and actionable insights, • Analyze customer behavior, financial patterns, and digital journeys to recommend engagement strategies aligned with each bank's objectives, • Support the design and optimization of predictive models used for personalization, segmentation, and financial recommendations, • Play a centric role in the end-to-end product implementation cycle: starting from discovery, analytics and solution design, up to implementation support, evaluation, and continuous improvement, • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to enhance the impact of our solutions, • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional ability to collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and product teams, • Presales & Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated experience effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, • Analytic Pre-sales Approach: starting from the client needs and the understanding of their processes, use the available data and information in order to design a Proof of Concept (PoC) that proves our offer value, • Product-Oriented Data Science: understanding of how data science insights inform product development and user experience, • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Python and standard machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow/PyTorch), • Exposure to LLMs: Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their potential applications, • Bilingual Fluency: Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English, • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex data insights, • Mandatory experience in the banking or financial services sector, • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, • Minimum 5 years of working experience in similar role preferably in financial industry, • Proven experience in data analytics, consulting, or data science roles, ideally in a client-facing environment, • Strong understanding of financial products, customer journeys, and digital banking KPIs., • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools, • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations, • Experience implementing or optimizing digital banking solutions (PFM, BFM, personalization engines, engagement platforms), • Experience in marketing campaign design in financial sector, • Familiarity with machine learning, predictive modeling, segmentation, and recommendation strategies, • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), • Competitive salary;, • Opportunities for professional growth and development;, • A collaborative and supportive work environment;, • Private health care insurance;, • Gym free pass;, • Meal vouchers;, • Subscription to unlimited online training courses by Udemy;, • Flexible working hours;, • Snacks and food, Fresh organic fruit, drinks, tea, coffee and juices;, • Cutting-edge technologies;
